You need to learn your poke placements and when to punish. This game is footsie intensive so if you don’t properly know the spacing for your normals, you will get crushed. You also have to learn your opponent’s normals and what is unsafe on block so you know when to punish, but that comes with practice and playing the matchups over and over. My problem is that I get used to a matchup like Ken or Ryu (because they are everywhere) then I play a Vega and get bodied. Only because I don’t know his moves yet.
I had a similar problem before with the raging. It started out when I broke my 50’ 3D hdtv and ended when I knocked myself out cold by head butting my cement wall and waking up minutes later with my friends recording me with lipstick on my forehead
Getting a little bit better. I noticed once I started fixing fundamental things my matches weren’t as difficult as before. I’m a little more patient and my footsie/normal game has improved a lot. Keep it up mates.
Yes I’m the same, now when I do lose its always a close fight compared to before when I didn’t stand a chance, I’m now beginning to win more than I lose per night which is huge for me for a new player, and all this is by just learning the fundamentals (attack, block, throw).
My next objective is to cement some of those combos into my head.
Stick through, I been losing but winning at the same time. Patience is the key along with utilizing your rang, frame traps and cancels. I am gradually getting better and learning everyday. Remember it’s up to you to improve there are so many tutorials and guides on how to play this game use them.
I was doing really quite well yesterday and today, today I had a couple of wins where I thought to myself like “Okay, now I understand!” When I adapted my playstyle against certain players and it worked, because they were dead set on their pattern and wouldnt change. But I’m on tilt now having been matched with a few silver league players that killed any streaks i had, then losing to a Birdie player that was infuriating and a Necalli that I had some bad luck with. Now I feel like I suck again
I stink in this game lol anybody super bronze and up seem to have my number online… I have lost 6 matches in a row and for the most part it’s kind of frustrating because the better I think I get, the more I realize my competition is that much better.
There will always be someone better, and even those who are the same skill as you may end up with the win, its about just playing and playing and getting better. I find learning to take losses is now my biggest challenge and I am getting better at that.
I hear ya bruh and I take my losses in stride but I realized I needed to go back to the drawing board once I lost a match that was too easy. I love the experience of fighting someone on or above your skill level. It’s exhilarating!!!
Went from 2000–>1600. There went my workout motivation. Not hitting the gym till i get that back. Don’t care if it’s 2am.
11:23PM EST Finally 2000+. Gym closed. Pushups it is.
I had a couple matches today after not playing for ages and genuinely had fun, I did a ranked as cammy against a Ryu who I am SURE got thought he was gonna get me, but I managed to make a comeback. And I did some casual matches as Nash which taught me a little more about how important that crush counter can be. Just had fun today man.
