The guy that does the RD the second gets the grab, kinda like a “super” tech I beat your RD with my RD, lol
YOU’RE WRONG, SOMETIMES IT’S RANDOM…:looney::looney:
BY THE WAY THE BEST DEMON SET UP IS WHEN YOU’RE OPPONENT JUMPS JUST HOLD DIAGONAL DOWN FORWARD AND THEN INPUT THE BUTTON COMMANDS FOR DEMON… IT WORKS EVERY SINGLE TIME AND THERE’S NO ESCAPE…:shake::woot:
JR is the KING of all Akuma’s so listen to his advice
I think that’s the best set up for RD.
The most useful RD set up is when u force ur opponent to think that its gonna come out but it doesnt. And u destroying him w/o using any meter!
JR, u are very good, but imho RD makes u weak! Dont count on it that much!
Yuki Otoko used to be very good at this, especially in the A-cho 5v5 when he ocv-ed team ko.
RD anti-air is a very practical move, especially when he is facing characters like Ken.
Just pull out the RD naturally (just do it when the time is right, when the mindgame is right) or being unexpectable is the best. RD setup can be beat by shoryu or some SA easily if one is planning this too obvious.
For me, I treat RD as a big damage throw, so i never spend time on those setup thing.
Thats exactly what I was talking about!
So true. And I’ve mentioned that cause for me JR looks very predictable with his RD setups(esp. the one with jumping jab), he always wants to look flashy. Like Jiro, who imho plays well only WITHOUT 2 meters.
THE RAGING DEMON IS WHAT MAKES AKUMA COOL, :woot:IT MIGHT MAKE ME WEAK, OR COST ME SOME MATCHES:rolleyes: BUT I BET I CAN DEMON EVERYBODY THAT PLAYS ME:arazz: IF I WANTED TO FINISH OF PLAYERS USING NON SUPER MOVES OR REGULAR SUPER MOVES I WOULD PICK KEN A BORING NON SKILL CHARACTER… BY THE WAY I DON’T PLAY 3S ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT LIKE THE TOP RATED PLAYERS HERE IN CALIFORNIA, I DO MY SAME LAME AS TRICKS I DID IN 1999 WHEN THE GAME CAME OUT, AND I STILL GET TOP 5 IN TOURNAMENTS…:wgrin: LIKE I SAID BEFORE A TRUE AKUMA PLAYER DEMONS NO MATTER WHAT…:lovin:
THE ANTI AIR DEMON IS THE BEST SET UP BECAUSE EVERYBODY JUMPS NO MATTER WHAT… PLUS IT’S EASY TO BAIT THEM TO JUMP BY THROWING GROUND FIREBALLS AND IT’S UNESCABABLE…
JR, so do u play just for demoning people or for winning? Play for the win but make it fun, right?%)

THAT’S FUNNY YOU SAY THAT CAUSE THAT’S THE FIRST DEMON SET UP I INVENTED… AND AFTER ALMOST 9 YEARS IT STILL GET’S EVERYBODY…:amazed::amazed::amazed:
IF YOU REALLY ARE INTO 3S 100%, I WOULD SAY GO FOR THE WIN NO MATTER WHAT:woot:, BUT IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND YOU JUST DON’T HAVE THE TIME TO PRACTICE 3S:sad::sad::sad:BE FLASHY AND MAKE SURE PEOPLE REMEMBER YOU… AND DEMONING PEOPLE IS THE BEST WAY OF DOING THAT…:lovin::woot::looney::arazz:
Heh%) That is why almost all of us are just helpless against japanese players - they learn smth new every day and one just cant kill’em twice the same way.
THE REASON THE TOP RATED PLAYERS IN THE US CAN’T BEAT THE JAPANESE IS BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS TRY TO BE LIKE THEM, BY WATCHING THEIR VIDEOS AND COPYING WHAT THEY DO:shake::shake: I DON’T DO THAT I INVENT MY OWN MOVES COMBOS AND RD SETUPS…:looney:
JR, u’ve just said the most important thing one should know about fighting japanese players! We(i mean foreigners) can only beat the japanese with our own, unfamiliar tactics and setups. But the thing is, they play so much more than we do(and the number of “minds” is so big) so they are first to learn all the new tactics and setups! Nothing new)
YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THEM LEARNING THINGS QUICKLY… I REMEMBER WHEN I DID THE ANTI AIR DEMON ON THEM AT FFA ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO THE FIRST THING THEY TRIED TO DO WAS TO FIND A WAY TO STOP IT:sad::sad: NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY GOT CAUGHT BY IT…:mad: I GUESS THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY SAW THAT SET UP…
Well I can’t do anti air demon on UK ken players anymore because
-
the jump in distances make it ambiguous as to whether they’ll land next to me, away from me, or just EX hurricane to some other random spot. Risking 2 bars in this situation rarely pays off.
-
If they’re still in empty jump animation, throwing out a jab (or maybe short) AFTER the demon animation actually stuffs the demon most of the time.
Against less experienced players, anti air demon is almost guaranteed in every match if you really want it.
Shit could get nasty if you miss but it looks so cool when it hits. Even trade.
Some characters and even some players don’t like to jump that much. After about 5 seconds of trying to bait jump, I’ll switch to trying to land SA I. I’m usually disappointed when I can’t use either Demon or KKZ, though.
I like how when JR posts it looks like he’s yelling at you. It’s too extreme, really.
WELL FIRST OF ALL THE ANTI-AIR DEMON WORKED WELL ON RYAN HART AND HE PLAYS KEN AND HE’S FROM THE UK… I THINK???
LESS EXPERIENCED AKUMA PLAYERS WOULD SAY THAT THE JAB OR SHORT WOULD STOP IT, BUT I GUARANTEE YOU YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG… YOU HAVE TO TIME THE DEMON AT EXACTLY THE SAME TIME THEY HIT THE FLOOR, AND YOU SHOULDN’T WORRY ABOUT EX HURRICANES AKUMA ALWAYS TURNS AROUND IN THE DIRECTION THEY DO THE HURRICANES AND GOES GLIDING TO GET THEM…:lovin: EVEN ON HIGH TOP RATED EXPERIENCED PLAYERS THIS SET UP ALWAYS WORKS IF TIMED RIGHT 100%…:arazz::arazz:
