I can use dash demon without double tap, in fact I dont double tap anything, it feels too awkward for me
I also find double tapping useful for links such as the mp/hp srk or hk tatsu ender after mk tatsu.
But really, different hands different input preferences.
I actually don’t dbl tap at all lol
only setup I can’t do consistently is TKD. I still HIGHLY encourage learning to dbl tap. I’m just set in my ways :arazz:
I still favor dash demon and doing a blatant cr rh so they will block and attempt a punish of some type (chun) and cancelling the sweep into demon as soon as it touches or right before. Only works once a day one someone lol.
I’ve never cared for double tapping though I do see where it would be useful. Feels awkward to me though
Is reset dash demon useful? Is the enemy able to jump out of it? Can i use it on every char? Im talking about lk.tatsu, cr.lp, dash, kara demon(f.mp, demon)
its a great setup! I usually use the cross under version. They can jump out, but if you delay the demon properly they will have to predict it to jump out. imo this is why its better to do kara demon here. the range isn’t necessary but it gives you a little bit of delay so that your opponents throw invulnerability is gone from the reset. It also helps if you use this reset semi regularly too so theres the threat of getting hit by a meaty if they try to jump out. if you only do the reset to setup a demon you’ll be giving it away.
Thank you very much pherai. Is there a difference between st.lp reset into dash kara demon and cr.lp reset crossunder kara demon besides the side switch? And what about the cr.lp dash(without crossunder) kara demon? They all put the enemy in the same state right??
yeah the big variable is just the 5 frames of throw invul at the beginning of reset, so it works the same way on either side. just make sure you know which side you’re going to land on so you get the directional input in demon correct!
i dont go for demon as often as some players but my cross under demon has a 98% success rate. sick setup
