I’m still of the opinion that Cammy/Fei’s simplified chickenwing/hooligan input alone helped shorten their tier gaps significantly. The same to Gief/Hawk’s 360’s. Ticks don’t second as an execution buffer anymore (I’ll fucking admit it…I need to mask my 360 behind a move or I go flying).
Depending on your point of view, Sagat may wind up being up there in “significant changes”. It’s like everyone decided to pick up N.Sagat strats…but…he is fucking buff as hell now and can juggle his knees…and his tigers are improved, but no one can whore that shit like it was O.Sagat. He’s “like a whole new character man!”
…and I still don’t understand why DeeJay dread punch needed to nullify projectiles. I’m just throwing that out there.
Most good Guile’s I’ve played against won’t fall for slide very often. At least enough for it to be a match ender. I haven’t seen it in HDR, but spam s.short in O.G ST made that move worthless. L.Short doesn’t seem bad for dealing with it either.
I mean, slide is an advantage move for Blanka that is somewhat similar to Shoto 's advantage with HK (slide goes under, HK goes over)…but imo Guile always had the tools to deal with it. Just my 2 cents. :wgrin:

Maybe I’m doing something wrong but my forwards always seem to lose to the slide and my shorts only seem to trade, which ends up me losing in the trade.
Edit: BTW I never really played against Blanka in ST because nobody seemed to want to play him, so don’t know much about him in ST.
Are people really going to allow Akuma to be legal at tournaments?

Tru dat. Blanka has an option for just about any situation Guile throws at him and he’s reduced to turtling in the corner to win if the Blanka player gains any momentum at all.
Like people on a message forum are gonna listen to that. You’re lucky if people are using the QWERTY system to type on the keyboard. You’re better off conforming to them. I’m guilty of saying dat every now and then too cuz datz wuz up. Nah mean? Some people just do lazy typing online. I know plenty of well spoken people who just talk that way online. It’s not something you can tell people not to do…it’s just their style.
I don’t think James has an issue with “dat” used for emphasis every now and then. I do that my sself every now and then but those posts he quoted where down right scary and damn near unreadable. Nah mean?

Cammy got the best upgrades: Easy special motions.
No more “let’s see what we get” motions that end in backfist, hooligan, standing fierce (HP for you n00bs and pups), or a jump.
Now more people can play her for real. (And lose for real, but at least it’s for real.)
