This x infinity. To hell with japan and their gay ass games.
That’s a common misconception. Japan stopped playing MvC2 simply because it’s not their type of game. They tried it out for a couple months, then they went off it pretty fast. It just wasn’t their type of game. The same can be said about VF and America. We didn’t stop playing VF cause Japan kicks our ass in it. We stopped playing cause it just wasn’t our cup of tea.
Different tastes. Japan prefers likes RPGs, America likes Madden.
That might make sense. With the direction Japanese FG’s are going, SF4 is kinda going in the reverse direction. I wouldn’t be surprised if the game is a bigger hit in the US then Japan.
bro the same post was made 3 times in this thread. just let marvel players think they rule the world
Most of you guys are stupid, and Gundam vs Gundam rapes every fighting game in the market, competition and revenue wise.
Not to mention they will be holding Premium Dogfight III this year.
And you guys shouldn’t hate on it considering CAPCOM makes it for Banpresto, whereas SF4 and SBX aren’t even made by Capcom (Dimps and Arc respectively).
It’ll do well here less on how it plays but more on it being 3D and Street Fighter.
Yeah, I agree. Fuck their gay ass games that… uh… we all play. :wonder:
an infinite number of monkeys on typewriters would eventually reproduce the works of shakespeare
and a whole bunch of japanese game developers will put something good out there every now and then
doesn’t mean they’re awesome and we should try to emulate them
What I mean is the Japanese will reject it cause they can’t do big combos on the game.
That’s all the Japanese scrubs seem to care about these days.
I know that, but the point is it’s pretty lol to say “fuck the japanese and their gay ass games” and then go play ST, CvS2, 3S, GG, pretty much any competitive fighting game out right now.
I like the fact that japan plays fucking everything regardless of its looks, made by certaint company, fighting engine etc.
here is like ohh it’s not SF i’m not playing:confused:
GvsG at 2nd place? No surprise really since VS games have always been insanely popular. (SBO should consider adding it to their list :clown:) I play GvsG too and it does feel more sluggish. Rengou vs Zaft 2 was fast if you know how to play it, but gvsg is just a lot slower EVEN if you play it right. But on the other hand it does add a few things that makes it better than RvsZ2.
Anyway, I’m also curious why VF5 is ranked so low? I thought it was mad popular in japan. =o
Tekken 6 being top of the list is no surprise. It’s been getting a healthy amount of play, compared to VF5 where it’s deserted most of the time…though that MIGHT change with the release of VF5R.
That seems like very low standards to me. But I don’t think that’s true either, or else they would be all over Mortal Kombat. Most people here get it right. There are different tastes for different japanese players and for different american players as well. There are people playing good and crappy games in both countries. And fighting games are a relatively small market in both too. Both countries should be happy to have a scene at all, in a world where the big bucks goes for Stracraft and Halo.
wow, we got a game from 99 (TS) and a game from 98 remade in the top. im especially impressed with TS still being in the top 10, hot damn.
im disagree, and here is why
even if sf4 turn out like shit here every one will end playing it only because is sf, you only need to see how many fighting games with great gamplay and great and great ideas are just ignored because they arent sf or they arent made by capcom
it seems more tht they apreciate the game for what it is, and not only by how it looks, at the end a gme is for enterteinement, if you enjoy the game thats cool then
3rd Strike is right because it’s right. Damn right.
Premium Dogfight? You haz videos?
Lol at people catching feelings over a Japanese Top 10 arcade list.
Hardcore VF4 Evo/FT players didn’t like the changes in VF5 and thus it gets less play.
There are a LOT of changes made in VF5:R as seen in the loc tests, its too early to say if it will be more accepted or not when its officially out.
