Justice in Guilty Gear 1.
-Duel 3, Let’s Rock.
-Touch, Insta Kill.
-Dead, Game Over.
-GTFO loser.
the dragon from bloody roar 4, no hitstun, similar full screen lockdown as ivan ooze that can be done by mashing 1 button, 1 hit kill full screen beastdrive, glitched guard attack makes him technically invincible, has an infinite from knockdown D: and thats before the retardedness of career mode… oh and if things are really going bad for him he can crash the fucking game on command D:
No where near broken. I used to play Wolverine in XvsSF back in the day and I had no trouble getting a hit on Storm and infinite her to death.
With Noob Saibot in MKT, if your opponent literally does anything, he automatically lost.
In my opinion Noob Saibot is more broken than Ivan, but relatively speaking within the respective games, Ivan wins. This isn’t like MvC2 where people joke and say get hit and die. This is literally you can’t do anything or you die. A lot of characters in MKT are broken, but no one has tools to deal with Ivan and you don’t even need to know how to play, just mash and spam shit. The reason why most vote for Noob Saibot is because you just can’t play against him. Literally, if you’re not crouch/blocking you’re dead and he can combo into teleport infinite from anything and his projectile makes you unable to land a hit on the opponent and unable to block, just like Anakaris curse. Even if you trade with his clone throw or projectile, you still lost. So literally, if you do anything you lost.
we probably have a winner
I don’t think anyone mentioned Choi in KOF02. Just an annoying character with unnecessary insane priority and a vicious keep-away game. Have to mention Angel in original KOF02, her specials have tons of priority and reach, and she has a very easy juggle. Two characters who break the game, more so then Athena or Billy in my opinion.
Wolverine vs Storm is not a great matchup for Wolverine, at all.
He loses in the air to her clean, and if he gets hit once, it’s ROM --> Lightning attack --> full screen infinite.
Storm’s offensive options put opponents in huge frame traps and each of her block strings creates a situation where you can put your opponent in an unavoidable mixup. (High, low, crossHigh, Feint High, throw, sameside cross high.) can be followed up by another option from this list.
After that, it’s death every time.
Storm also has a directable projectile, her j.MP, which can, with positional super jumping, be done twice. She can chase the projectile or take up space away from it very easily with her jLK, jFP or RKs. The way Storm’s hitboxes work. instant overhead sj(back, forward or neutral) LK pretty much keeps wolverine boxed out, as he cannot really punish into launch or anything that leads to infinite. Any mistake or possibility of overextensio0n in applying pressure can be avoided through fly mode, which has ridiculous invincibility, unlimited air dashes via engaging float, and enables a combo into full screen basic infinite off 1 hit.
Storm, on the other hand, playing -with- infiinites, lands 1 hit and gets a guaranteed full screen infinite into 200% combo or unavoidable guard break vs. the entire cast irrespective of character weights.
Played properly, she’s nigh-unbeatable unless you mirror. Even from startup, assuming you attain the right amount of space before the match begins, you win or trade safely on every first-frame-initiated exchange.
The disparity between Storm and the rest of the top tier, let alone the other cast members, in XVSF is pretty large.
It’s not that large. No where near Noob Saibot or Ivan levels. If it was that large then everyone would play Storm. Also, you can’t ignore execution. Your post is good talk but how often does Storm 200%? Even scrubs can 100% with Noob Saibot. Scrubs can mash Ivan’s moves. You’re misunderstanding the broken category.
I don’t personally think that Storm is the ‘most broken character of all time,’ I just disagree that it is in any way easy to land a hit on her and infinite her.
As for the 200% to guardbreak setup, it’s as follows.
As the second character is coming in, normaljump and throw an upwards MP fireball.
Superjump and look.
- 200%: If the MP ball hits offscreen, you simply hit confirm an airdashLK jRK or do sjLK adLK jRK
- Guardbreak 1: If the MP ball misses completely, sjLK, pause, airdash df LK FP RK for the guardbreak.
- guardbreak 2: if MP ball is blocked by oncoming character, sjLK addf LK FP RK guarbreak.
Or, you can just SJ RK as the character enters the screen. Hit or block leads to a adLK FP RK sequence, resulting, like the options above, in a cornered, OTGable opponent who then gets magic-series infinited.
So, in answer to the question, it’s free if you know what’s up. Every time.
Nah, it’s not easy, but even though Wolverine is at a theoretical disadvantage, it’s not that easy for Storm either and skill still plays a large role, hence why Storm is not banned in XvsSF. Noob Saibot and Ivan are a type of character where tier position surpasses skill. This thread is about most broken characters of all time, so when you posted XvsSF Storm, the reaction to your post should have been expected. When I played MKT, Noob Saibot was banned, but the MKT scene was very small because MK3U arcade version was awesome.
younger Togaru(final boss) from yu yu hakusho 120% power hands down!!!
his two specials are ultra quick, low frames for starting them up, do huge damge, and unblockable up close to him.
just plain ridiculous.
I think most of the people are just listing the god tiers in the games they play…
How are you going to tell someone who placed 4th at evo last year that he’s wrong about a match-up in his game?
Then my initial reply would have mentioned someone from 3rd strike. I don’t even play xmvsf.
Storm does require mad maintenance but the fact that her rape isn’t readily available to anyone says nothing about her brokenness. Your confusing player-potential with character-potential. When you look at options for actually getting in for free, Noob doesn’t have the variety of Storm. He is stuck at the ground game with the rest of the cast, while on the other hand, Storm possesses abilities to flatten her`s.
i cant believe someone posted sf4 sagat
Karnov?
No.
Ray and Lee own him if played correctly.
You’re wrong due to your over exaggeration of the match-up. Your posts were pointless because I know how Storm plays and even the best Canadian Storms fail to do what I said consistently. I have proven you wrong and all you could do was defend with potential instead of reality. Storm-Wolverine is not 10-0. If you want to talk about options, I already mentioned Igniz in the first few pages. He can combo everything into everything, including the same moves into themselves. You can mash shit on wake up and he doesn’t give a fuck what you were doing and is going to bounce you and set you up for a juggle/infinite or just do his broken brutal god project and end it:
He has a full screen shock wave that you can juggle after. Juggle, not otg like shitty Magneto shock wave. Speaking of Magneto, COTA Magneto is a better candidate. Face the facts, as far as this thread is concerned Storm sucks. Instead of getting mad about your favorite character, you should have focused on your reading abilities and read this:
Also Noob Saibot is far more broken than Storm, don’t even joke. If you’re any good at XvsSF then you should know how high level Storm play is, I shouldn’t have to teach you. It’s still a competitive and very old game and Storm still isn’t banned and as much theory fighting as you want to do Storm doesn’t win in the air 100%, you still see Wolverines mash out into claw into infinite. Like I said, it’s not free for Storm, she has superior option sets but it’s not free. You really don’t understand what even a mid-level Noob Saibot is. The character is so broken he was banned from the start. You can’t do anything. If you try any shit that Storm would, zone with projectile, jump, throw out the fastest attack, or even trade, then your character is dead. Not XvsSF or MvC2 style land hit and dead, I’m talking about let go of the stick and go home. The name Noob Saibot is Boon and Tobias combined, they intentionally made him broken.
