they replaced a whole shit load of people. it might not even be money issues but purely scheduling problems…seems jeri ryan was just too busy to do season 2 and 3.
looking at the imdb it seems like a good bunch of stunt actors i recognize so it’s probably just shitty choreo…casper van dien needed a stuntman…whoever let him do his own stunts sucked.

Dan Southworth as Kenshi was perfect. Only thing that would’ve made it better would have been a helm breaker
the budget got bigger? so they hired big name guys and the costumes suffered?
pretty much. The budget was big enough to the point where they could actually pay extras and get better locations and improve production quality. Who knows how much of it went to costumes though…
the last 2 episodes were the best thing in this series drama wise.

My favorite episode was the Johnny Cage one from season 1.
My favorite character from the MK franchise is Scorpion.
Needless to say I’m disappointed with the first 9 episodes of this series, I fucking love the guy who plays Liu Kang though and his story arc so far.
Gonna watch the season finale tomorrow.
So far I think it’s garbage aside from the Liu Kang episodes. Guy who plays him, plays his role well and the story of those episodes also keeps my interest for longer than 2 minutes.
I just wish Scorpion and Sub Zero wouldn’t have such shitty costumes and episodes though.
Also hoping for Sonya Blade, Kano and and Jax to have some part in the finale since those characters were also portrayed well in the first season.
I’ve seen better cosplays than that shit they used for season 2.

I enjoyed what I seen out of season 2. Much like Season 1, Mileena and Kitana bits were the worst. Sub-Zero looked like he was ready to play paintball. I did like the direction they took Liu Kang.
The costume department just threw a stuntman’s gator onto sub zero and called it a day. I feel insulted. And watching Casper Van Dien fight really made me miss Matt Mullins as Cage.
When I read the script for the auditions, I knew they were going to go with an actor over a martial artist for the role of Liu Kang and Brian Tee did a good job capturing the depth of the role.
Was so hyped for this, but was disappointed with it. The only highlight for me was Brian Tee’s portrayal of Liu Kang.
Let me change that and say Ian Anthony Dale was great too.
IAD never fails, guy needs to be doing greater things.
ok am I the only one who really like it. I think with more time they could have done better, but overall it was great. I really love the way they took lui kang.
