The compedium, Lex showing up to ECC8, etc, had nothing to do with me getting back into MK, cause I never got out of it, neither did GosBroDansFan neither did the Prophet. I had no idea who Lex was when I went to NEC2. But there’s nothing to concede here, maybe for Hanzo because Hanzo insists Venezuela is the best, but other than that, moot points galore.

I don’t know where you got that idea from; I haven’t touched MK4 in many, many years. If you have ideas/etc. I would recommend you making an MK4 vid; aside from the PS2 junk (and MK1) it’s the only game that hasn’t been covered thus far. I’m sure you could put something together that’s cool; I for one would like to see what kinda stuff can be done with the limited combo system. (Maximum Damage activated at 40% right? I can recall a 50% Scorpion combo…I remember someone speaking once of a 60% Fujin combo[??]…don’t remember much else unfortunately)

I have heard about this.
What you may not know is that during the course of the show several lesser awards were given out, online, due to TV time constraints. MKD also won awards for:
Deepest/Most Varied Combo System in a Fighting Game
Most Balanced Character Roster in a Fighting Game
Best Gameplay Addition (Hara-Kiri) in a Fighting Game
I think the only way one could have enjoyed that “awards” show is if they were really drunk or high (or both.) :devil:

Yeah, MKD won the Spike TV award for best fighting game. And even worse, two of the “best” people (best isn’t saying much)were using Scorpion and Mileena. Why can’t they just use Bo, Noob Smoke, or Shujinko? Bo has a puke infinite, Shujinko has overpowered combos, and Noob Smoke has a strike throw strike throw infinite. During the footage, you saw no use of combos AT ALL. They seriously suck at the game. Ed Boon probably does too. Oh well. This is why it won over the competition.
1)SFAC: Mainstream gamers don’t play the game, no commercials, etc.
2)GGX2#R: No commercials, mainstream gamers don’t play the game, etc.
3)CFJ: Same as the above two reasons.
4)SVC: Same as the above, but the game isn’t that good in the first place.
5)KOF MI: Has a commercial, but mainstream gamers don’t play the game.
6)VF4FT: Nobody plays VF in America in the first place.
I don’t know how DOAU or T5 did not win the award when mainstream gamers play the game and they are much better than MKD. Basically, MKD won because of the blood, gore, online, and unlockables (most are crap). Oh, and don’t forget the commercial.
I can’t believe I used to like the actual game. That is, until I realized that the only way to win is to abuse cheap tactics. It abandons skill and rewards cheap tactics. Bad. Oh well, watch as T5 wins next years award. Goodbye.
