Round 1 USA Moreno Valley Mall is going have a street fighter 4 tournament every Thursday starting 11/29 $5 to enter 100% goes to pot 2/3 matches double elimination pay-per-play (game card req.) Pot split 70/20/10 among top 3 players. Starts at 7 pm

I thought it was pretty shady how the SF4 AE tournament was dealt with tonight. Many of the finalists were informed AFTER they had won that Round 1 would not be distributing cash prizes ( I could count on one hand the number of players that were just as perplexed as me when this was announced, the guy running the tournament said he announced it earlier, but many of us have no recollection of this announcement ), but some credit system, which is bogus to me. Alot of the players were turned off by this change, as we already spend very close to 15-20 dollars each per person ( if you do the math 5 bucks entry, 2 out of 3 games, every player has to swipe 2x per game win or lose, game is like 75 cents a pop for about a 16 man bracket ). Round 1 is already overpriced and you decide to shoot yourself in the foot business wise with this decision. NO ONE is going to play these tournaments just for credit, you’ve just discouraged the growing community that shows up to these events.

Actually Round 1 has went back to distributing cash prizes, all you have to do is just sign a waiver. I commend Round 1 with bringing it back to the original way of rewarding the winners of their tournaments
Yea I think that was a good move on their part. That would of definitely killed the scene there. Now we still got a chance of hyping it up! Let’s go people this Thursday come down for some AE action@Round1 MoVal. We usually have a consistent turn out of around 10-12 people. Lets get it up to at least 20 every week c’mon guys!!!

They need to seriously drop the price on these arcades down during the tournaments. It’s not anything worth going to when you pay 75 cent’s per game even as you win. I was thoroughly embarrassed when I had to ask the community to swipe there cards for me when I ran out of money after I dropped like 15 dollars. I could have spent at least 5 of that on drinks but no… I haven’t been since. Step your game up round 1. The reason we go to these tournaments is because there is people there to actually play with. I’m pretty sure any other day of the week these cabs are empty. They are nice cabs and I know you want to get your money out of them but hot damn. Drop it down to 25 cents during tourny play if you want to form a community around them.

hey guys, Round One did a very gracious thing and has set the SF4AE machines to 2 credits for the Thursday Night tournaments.id like to thank R1 for their generosity and keeping the players in mind. MatrixMatt and Tasty Steve showed up last Thurs to support the tournament, and I hope to see some familiar faces again this Thurs.

Yo is there anything going on tonight? Finally done with the school quarter I can actually start playing again. I plan to drop by tonight with a couple friends.
