hey JD, they were 21 people in cvs2 so the pot is 210$, but alex said they were only 16 people and you gave him 160$(missing 50$). i receive 110$, should have been 140$. i know its not you, but just want to what happen

Reagan called me and told me about the missing money. I’m still trying to figure out how this could be possible. Alex gave me how much money we should of had, I counted it and it was the right amount.

I’m going to check the brackets again and see if there is something we missed.

There will be a small DVD Nagata is going to put together with my collaboration, I just want to know how many of you would be interested in seeing a DVD made? It’ll be good to show people outside of Canada how we run things here, and a great way to remember this tournament by.

I have some questions.

I held a tournament a year and a half ago where the winner received $500. Would anyone here be interested if I did the same thing again?
Would you still go if I split that $500 into two tournaments? In other words, $200 to ‘x’ game winner and $300 to ‘y’ game winner, equalling $500.
Would you want to attend a competition if I held it based on who had the highest score in a game? That would as easy as not leaving your seat at home?

i’d be interested in the Dvd i was at the team touney and i couldn’t attend at the singles so it would be a good way to see what i missed out

Say if it was $500 to the winner, it would be $500 plus 70% of the entry fee. So if the turnout was 64 people at a $10 entry fee:
1st = $948
2nd = $128
3rd = $64

I will answer your questions, but in a different order and a little background.

Yes, it will be for CvS2, and possibly 3rd Strike…that’s why I asked the question regarding the division of money.
Wizzards Arcade was closed down in October of last year unfortunately The new location of my tournament will be in Ann Arbor, which is 45min-1hour west of where Wizzards used to be, IF you were driving straight from Wizzards. Going the freeway route would cut that interval by about 15-20 minutes.
The main focal tournament will be Tekken 5 because my gaming background and tournament running history stems from this series. The tournament date is 5-14-2005, which is awfully close to ECCX. It’s not an attempt to be in competition with ECC, since I’ve been known to hold my tournaments in May, and held my first one was a week before ECC5. People such as Carmona and Dakong (now Floe) attended both.

So if I play my cards right, there should be money tournaments for all three games. I will announce it on April 1st, but I just need some extra input from past participants in previous tournies that I ran.
