Get ready Texas. Monsters Arcade is holding a Super Street fighter 4 Season!

Season Winner Grand prize is MLG sponsorship from Monsters Arcade!

Date: Saturday, May 1st, 2010
Time: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: Monsters Arcade
Street: 13626 Veterans Memorial
City/Town: Houston, TX

-We will kick off the weekend on Friday with Street fighter 3 and HD remix tournaments.
-Saturday we will be open all night!!! and our first Super Street Fighter 4 Tournament will start that night at 10:00pm
*We will be BBQing for the lock-in so food and drinks are taken care of

Prizes:

First Place: 70% of the pot plus their choice of an XBOX or PS3 SSF4 Dojo Edition!
Second Place: 20% of the pot plus the other SSF4 Dojo Edition
Third place: 10% of the pot

We will also be raffling off a brand new XBOX 360!!! Everyone who comes to the lock-in will automatically be entered into the raffle.

Lock-in price will be $35
-$20 Venue Fee
-$10 Tournament Fee
-$5 season Fee

$20 venue fee will be applied to any guests you bring. Guests will also get food and be entered in the raffle and can play any game in the store!

Season Tournaments will be held monthly at Monsters Arcade of-course. We will have dates announced for the series at least 3 months in advance as to work out any conflicts. Next Tournament dates are:

May 30th and June 27th

Each individual tournament will have a pot payout and the season will have a pot payout at the end of the 6 month period. Breakdown is as follows:

$25 total per person
-$10 Venue Fee
-$10 Tournament Fee
-$5 Season Fee

Tournament fee will be split at the end of each tournament with a 70/20/10 split.
Season Fee will be split at the end of the season with also a 70/20/10 split. The first place winner will also receive MLG sponsorship for the 2011 season !!

Tournaments will be a Double Elimination bracket. And all brackets and points will be updated online as they become available.

1st - 12
2nd - 10
3rd - 9
4th - 8
5th - 7
6th+ - 1

To be able to offer this we are looking at at-least a 24 person attendance so come on out and support the Texas Tekken community.

Yes sorry, i had the wrong date up there. We are holding free tournaments all week for different fighting games. TvC on Monday, soul Calibur on Tuesday, Wednesday we will have $5 all day play for ssf4 for people who want to practice, Thursday is Blazblue, and Friday will be HD Remix and SF3.

We are also holding our Tekken 6 season opener on the 25th.

Also about the MLG sponsorship. If for some reason any of our season games that we are offering the sponsorship on is not carried next season then we will just give out the dollar amount for the sponsorship.

No. We have 10 stations each with HD tvs and back to back ps3/xbox 360s setup. We have been planning this even before the arcade announcement, and with the release being only a couple weeks away we dont really see ourselves needing a cabinet.

What will be the prizes for the HD Remix and SF3 tournaments? I know of some people that are interested in playing those games but they want some more information about the Friday events.
