I did, I just thought this thread deserved a little humor.
I prefer Latif, because his mix-up and rushdown game with Viper is freaking scary. Wolfkrone is awesome because like me Iām a pad warrior, but Latifās Viper puts alot of fear into people. Like Poongko he also made Daigo look free at Evo, so hats off to him, heās a real solid contender.
If anyone watched latif at SCR on saturday I think they donāt understand what heās doing that much. He does very safe things. He inputs a lot of what I like to call micro-waits which are almost option-selects against mash reversal and that type of stuff. He does stuff like range the cr. LK -> feint so that when you press the cr. tech afterwards it whiffs and he already has the cr. FP coming at your face for the combo. He uses cr. FP a lot more in blockstrings then even wolfkrone imo and how he uses that really sets up big damage/offense really well.
I honestly have a theory that thereās something about constant feinting that mentally pressures your opponent.
Latif isnāt all rar in your face but he also understands how to make viperās offense not only scary but pretty damn safe. Did you see him vs Valle at the insert coins tournament? GDLK mind games and much less pure offense. He adapts to the matchup like any gdlk player.
