I hope that if they do another year they bring back the UFGT style “Mystery game” but maybe stick to competitive stuff (or not… Mugen was funny a shit).

Old comp games, or maybe even games there is already a tournament running for but with special rules. Like a Marvel 2 “low tier” tournament or a “Everyone has to have 1 Servbot on their team” tournament or a CVS2 N groove only tournament. ST Akuma only tournament.

I want the OG games to be the mainstage, I just like the idea of spicing up some old games with 1 special mystery game.

That said, I think they should MAYBE limit the # of games to like 3-4 per year overall and cycle em? One year have Alpha 2, CVS2, Marvel 2, next year have ST, KOF98, VSavior, ect. Just to keep it from getting too bloated.

If they think they can run all of the games more power to em, I just don’t want them to over do it and exhaust everyone.

Every version of SF4, both Ricky and Justin claim to play Chun. Then about 3 days later I’m hearing “AIIIIIII!”. Honestly she’s not even bad in this version, very underrated. She has enough tools to keep them out. People say she struggles hard against divekick characters, but Infiltration has shown many times it can be done without anything fancy, even when Cammy was dumb.

Me too. You’d also still get some salty ass sending you hatemail because he’s clueless to the game he’s playing.

So, I’m just curious. I know the MvC2, Ultra, Super Turbo, and 3S tournament Top 8s were put up on Youtube, but does anybody know if the CvS2 Top 8 was put up? Also, if so, does anyone have a link?

Now we need more of the SoCal 3S players to join. As soon as Amir and Hung were taken out, it was obvious that J was gonna win it.

Also, more importantly, the game needs to be played on a CRT since all LCDs add at least 1 frame of lag to 3S.

Why can’t they allow E.Ryu and O.Iori in CVS2 for the home systems? They are not secret characters on the home systems just like Oni and E.Ryu in USF4, etc.

cvs2 matches were hype as fuck. we was seein P and K groove kicking ass. I mean the top tier team still won but DAMN…

E.ryu and o.iori are not allowed because the game is played using arcade rules.

^ All games were on CRT as far as I remember, not counting a few BYOC games (which were also mostly CRT)

several strong players had plans of going and dropped them as soon as they found out it was LCD. LCD is universally hated among players who don’t suck dick at the game.

on the good side Watson posted on the facebook group and asked what’s up and the next time around the setups will hopefully not be a problem

Next time I’ll start making to these tournaments. Maybe next EVO can have CVS2 and ST. Might as well throw in a hacked version of SF2WW (arcade) that allows you to play as the 4 boss characters. I’ve heard that they’re working on a hacked version of HSF2 that allows WW bosses to be playable…
