This was the best tournament. Fuck 09 and SFIV. MvC2 for life.
GG wasnt there some Tekken people did show up but T4 nothing was unlocked. Old SNK games were there all day SAT, Vampire Savior was there, Alpha 2 was there, Powerstone and Project Justice were there too. Overall it was alot of fun an annual thing would be cool. Have to see how it goes and nix Ultra next time. Tournament was great.
No archives makes me sad. Had to go to a party so I didn’t get to finish watching finals day. CvS2 was so damn good and then no finals. That JWong lameness…why can’t he play SF4 like that?
This was amazing to watch, hope they do it again next year.
Purposely plays Rufus cause people complain about his turtling, apparently. I don’t see the issue, I’d rather watch a real game than Dumb Fighter. Let’s be real, Rufus is dumb.
Lol @ Ultra David saying most people chanting for Daigo taunting and not knowing what taunts actually do.
This and the K-groove stuff that happened in CvS2 makes me wish more games had taunt-based mechanics.
skisonic needs to never commentate MvC2 again

They put skisonic on stream commentary to keep him off commentary for the live audience
Also, to keep him too occupied to grope cosplayers
Major lolz on Day 1 when a Necro player killed Wong with a taunt. He subsequently got the business thereafter.
Wong looked at us right after, yelling, “He didn’t mean that!” (In reference to the sequence that stunned him prior to the taunt kill)

I heard there was also a SF4 tournament with Justin vs Chris?
Gotta see that.
The interesting thing is that there are good characters in the game that would work well with Justin’s turtle style.
yea ski sucked, he seemed really tame in comparison to the hypeness he brought to mvc2 in the past.
does anyone know if footage got posted online of any of the games that went down saturday, specifically mvc2? I saw in the brackets duc faced sanford at one point and can’t believe i missed out

Got bodied in MvC2 like crazy, and it was the only game I entered in the main tournament. Couldn’t even get air dashes out, should have swapped sticks so I could have at least gone 1-2 instead of 0-2. Pulled the old green DC Agetec stick out of retirement and fixed the broken LP button, but the HP went on the fritz during the tournament (of course). But I was getting rocked all weekend no matter what.
But I got to play in the Alpha 2 side tournament, so at least I got to feel like a non-fraud. Should have entered more games, in hindsight.
Watch the pools from day 1 also. Some really good matches in there.
