I’d like to rephrase: who the FUCK closed my “is this a record?” thread, and what was the reason. I’d like it re-opened A.S.A.P, please.

If it’s about posting Battle Opera footage, well the footage I linked to was only for a BO qualifier match, not from the tournie itself.

I took the time to sit down and count all 350+ sonic booms thrown in that match, and it could have led to some debate about the nature of projectiles in various sf games.

So why the hell was it closed, could somebody please fill me in so I can take approriate action?

First off, you need to link your post. Not everybody is going to go out of their way to look it up. You’re not the only member on this board. Second, I LOOKED up your post and it was in fighting game discussion. I’m pretty sure those mods don’t check this thread seeing that it’s in GENERAL DISCUSSION. Third, all the mods of that forum are at the bottom of that forum. Click one of their names and use the PM function instead of being on your fucking period. Copping a mother fucking attitude isn’t gonna get you any where. If you got a fucking problem with what happened in Fighting game discussion go PM one of the fighting game mods you stupid fuck.

maxx, we already had a baby in the microwave thread once, and the puns were lame in that one. It was back in december. All that new thread is going to contain is shitty repeated puns from the old thread. Further, when that debate came up about that baby drowning in the septic tank, people kept refering to that thread and going “Why is the baby microwave one okay, and this one isn’t?” when people were in there going “You guys are sick fucks for thinking this is funny”. Then a huge debate happened where a line was drawn on both sides about what was sick and what wasn’t. The puns are a gray area anyway, but I guess I gotta make a standard rule about “no puns about dead children” so people won’t bitch. But they’ll bitch regardless.

I’m sorry you think it took me so long to respond, but Septimus already did reply to you. My life doesn’t revolve around SRK and I didn’t go “OH MAN, I BET MAXX POSTED IN THE THREAD THAT HE SHOULD HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE. LET ME GET OUT OF BED AT 5 IN THE MORNING TO GO ANSWER HIM!!!”

If you have an issue with why it was closed, PM wizard and tell him “Hey, I’d like this thread to be reopened so all the morons on SRK can make bad puns about a baby being put in the microwave. Stuff like “Set it and forget it!” cause I’m into that kinda shit.” and see what he says.

you don’t have to insult me, you told me to do sumtin, and i followed what you said. Sep wasn’t sure what was going on, you know for sure. So no he didn’t answer the question, he only had a guess. And since i posted, you posted about 3 times in the closed thinking out loud thread. So i don’t know why your sarcasticly talking about living on srk. You could have just stopped at the no jokes on dead babies and that would have been enough to answer the question.

I told you to post it in the mod thread because you, out of all these new guys should know to not post up a thread about why a thread was closed. That’s been a rule since what? 2002? 2001? The begining of SRK? And you didn’t recieve an infraction for it, you recieved a warning. There’s a difference. Infractions stick with you for a certain time. Warnings are infractions without the points that would get you banned.

Sep didn’t have a guess. He hit me up on AIM and asked me, I told him, and he responded here.

And yeah, I posted in other threads before I checked this one. Is there an issue with that?

The problem with the entire situation is that no matter what decision any mod makes, some one is going to have an issue with it and try to be a lawyer about the rule. I could make a rule about “no dead baby jokes” but I shouldn’t have to and we shouldn’t have to tell you guys not to do a lot of this stuff. If we go the route like saying “no dead baby jokes” then eventually we’ll have to make a rule about everything that leaves absolutely no freedom in regards to any topics. I’ve tried to be more lenient on certain things like some forms of political discussion etc. but the shit isn’t always going to work out.
