The Emo Beatdown Day thread was, like, the fifth (and sixth and seventh, since there were at least three of them) 6/6/06 thread (a concept that is retarded to begin with). Usually, when it comes to those, I’ll either merge them all or only let the original stand, depending on whether or not I feel like merging (say, if the different threads each contained different, relevant information).

Just because it’s General Discussion doesn’t mean that any bloke can come in here and make a topic about how he picked his nose and where he smeared it on. Mods create rules for what can or cannot be posted in GD because we don’t want the forum to be filled with craptacular threads that serve no other purpose but spam.

If so, I think that was uncalled for. Even if you disliked it, you could’ve at least left it open until it got some replies. Who knows, it could’ve turned into a good discussion.

CFJ2 is obviously a MUGEN game. It was closed due to someone posting a game with characters that weren’t his. Everyone bitched. MUGEN now has to go into the no bullshit topic. Why should people discuss a game with characters made by differant people that doesn’t exist publicly?

I can’t really say much about how SK mods, since I don’t hang out in FGD.
But I will agree with you that this thread is basically useless, and any formal complaint always gets shot down. My thread was unfairly closed, even 2 people in the Thinking Out Loud thread said so, even before I made this complaint. I come here, present my case, and what happens? “STFU STOP CRYING NOOB GTFO!” Seriously, I know the rules of this site (and more importantly the GD) PERFECTLY. I have never broken any except for sometimes a repost, but even I haven’t done that in a long, long time.
I won’t say the GD is badly moderated, because in truth, it’s not. It’s run pretty well, it’s just stupid as hell when a mod lets personal vendettas control the way he mods.
