Viper is stupid good. Her bnbs corner carry for a TAC into death by cubes or just a DHC into dok does over a million damage. With dok on point, Viper’s overhead can help setup unblockables on incoming in the corner, and with an optimal combo starter and both assists (missiles included), dok can get over 900k in one combo for a meter. I haven’t really learned any resets for viper/dok/doom, except for dok’s corner EX barrier and jamming bomb shenanigans, but since everything is pretty meter neutral, I may not need them… Much, much better than Sentinel lol.
It’s been strange… I’ve gotten more hatemail with viper/dok/doom than with dok/doom/sent, and I’ve barely started using Viper. I guess I’m doing something right lol
I’ve been wanting to learn Modok for a bit now…I had interest in him in Vanilla but damn…that guy was hard to work with. So…i’ve decided to delve into the Modok. Gotta get some lab time in but I figured this would be a good place to start to meet some fellow Dok users. It’d be cool to join one of ur Dok lobbys…
Heh in all honesty Viper can kill just about anyone by herself. She doesn’t need DOK at all. Saying Viper or Zero are stupid good is like saying Arnold Swazenegger played the terminator. Old news. Dok is kind of redundant lol
Its more that you can use modok against the characters that can lame it out in the air and viper against teleporters or other characters that can get in on modok easily.
okay, okay, but honestly there’s better characters that serve that purpose for Viper imo. But if you want to play a DOK team I guess it’s all good. I don’t see DOK being an asset to Viper is all.
Dok is always good for his TACs, but yeah, assist wise, dok doesn’t give too much. Blaster helps cover the horizontal space and combo extension, but missiles are good enough for Viper. The DHCs work well enough, so that’s enough synergy for me.
I would imagine you could get some really nasty high/lows going too with burn kick assist… reset them behind an S-barrier in the corner, and go to town (especially if they’re jammed).
It’s also a soft knockdown so it would probably also work well as a combo extender?

If anyone could actually TEACH me how to play this character I would be greatly appreciated. Was thinking about DOK(assist?)/ IM(Repulsar blast- seems to open tons of combos with modok)/ Sentinal(Drones)
Thanks, I’ll definitely try to go to your tournament lol. You don’t give yourself enough credit, you have way better blocking than me. I’m usually just too lazy to focus on blocking or the neutral game in general, as your friend in the lobby showed lol.
