Ki Shima, MNR is amazing. SRK hype may have died down, but it’s still super popular.
Maybe one day SRK hype will be back. I think it’s really hust me, J-Nav, and pongzilla that still play. Million has gone over to the dark side aka Phantasy Star Portable 2, so he’s stopped playing (temporarily?) as well.
seems like a really cool game, just worried the about getting bored of it, there doesn’t seem to be much depth in the weaponary
being able to play custom tracks tipped the scale for me though, if only you could apply custom tracks to each part of the game, that would be instant buy for me. might get it, not sure yet
The customization aspect is the main selling point for me. You can make just about anyone you can think of into a modnation character, and it’s always funny to see what other players have created…there doesn’t appear to be a limit on the # of creations either, at least besides the limit of one’s harddrive space I suppose. I had over 100 characters. Of course there is a limit on how many things you can “publish” online though, but more space opens up as you get more exp. The only reasons I haven’t been on this game lately have been Phantasy Star (haha, over 100 hours total play-time now) and now Fable 3.
ooh, next character I might create—the Support Guy from Monday Night Combat…somewhat famous recently due to people complaining about how he’s allegedly an overpowered character (yeah, what the hell ever…but that’s an argument/rant for a different thread of course)
Depth on the weapons seems fine to me, as they are quite different depending on what level each one is. The only real problem is how they’ve become almost wildly unpredictable if you’re racing online against other players…it becomes a crapshoot of insanity that no one can really consistently defend against. I’m not sure if things have been fixed recently though. This actually makes lightning into a serious threat for once. If that weapon were to behave like it’s supposed to, it’s one of the easiest things to defend against in the game. Thanks to the online wackyland shenanigans, nobody knows exactly when the lightning bolt is going to hit…I find all of this to be hilarious, actually.

I thought SRK would vote a game like this off, as some shitty non creative racing game. GLAD TO SEE I AM DEAD WRONG.

I have this too, I haven’t played it all that much. The latest update really seems to have cut the loading times even more, it was a shame I couldn’t connect with anyone to play with though. :shake:
You guys should hit me up for some races whenever.

I meant connecting with anyone in general, last time I tried running an XP series and we couldn’t fill up 4 slots, so I just played something else. But I’m down to give this another shot. I had a ton of fun playing the single player and trying to beat it.
Life just isn’t the same without MNR online…
