Modern Warfare 2 Glitch: How to play SNK Fighters for Free

I just discovered this glitch from reading this article here: Worthplaying | ‘Modern Warfare 2’ (ALL) Bug Grants Free SNK Games

Essentially, with either a demo or full version of CoD: MW2, you can play the following SNK XBLA games in their full unlocked versions.

Garou: Mark of the Wolves, The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug XX and Samurai Showdown II.

I just tried it on Metal Slug XX and it works. It’s the weirdest thing ever. So until a fix comes out, enjoy your time with these ‘extended’ demos. :nunchuck:

As someone mentioned in my GD version of this thread, achievements do not stick but save files do. Also, the SNK game will not show up in your recently played list.

So if they were to actually patch it, would it affect the version you download from the marketplace or would you have to download an update after downloading the game?

Well do you know how it worked when they patched the bug to play the whole game in Shadow Complex?

SNK XBLA games are cheap, I’d rather just go ahead and pay the $5-$10 to encourage them to keep putting them out. I never expected we’d get NGBC and MOTW on XBLA.

I saw and tried this a few weeks ago before I went away for a while. Then I forgot about it until now. It does indeed work and you can actually get achievement points for it, but they show up at the very bottom of your game list.

I heard that it works on a few other games that aren’t SNK, but I haven’t tried them. I tried Limbo just for kicks and it didn’t work.

That’s a step up in my book. Then again I wouldn’t have been playing CoD6 in the first place. Maybe 4, but not 6.
