Both these setups look great, $1550 AUD is very affordable, might have to invest in one of these for xmas.
hahah your telling me
1500 AUD is very tempting, but I can’t afford it, its much better then the vewlix clone for 3k+ AUD, you can have two namco clones for one vewlix clone
I just received an email from coinop stating that they have received my payment and they will start processing the “goods”. Well I guess my part is done and now I have to play the waiting game.
GODLIKE
I wanna make one like that lol…
I like this one better than actual vewlix cabinets.
What wrong with the retail monitor? Because i want to buy one too, but if the monitor lag. I will go with the namco one.
Not sure what’s wrong with it but I saw a review on youtube about the namco clone and the guy said there was very little lag. That’s why i opted for this one.
Just wondering if you’ve got this yet or if it has shipped?
Just wanted to know if you got the cab yet as well.
Also, seems on that site, the price of a vewlix F has dropped to 3,000.
I am going to be getting my hands on a Vewlix F in the next week or two if everything goes well. I’ll have a full review of it…any input?
After going through a nightmare with customs because I was not told by coinopexpress that I needed a “customs broker”, I finally received a call that I can pick up the cab from the wharehouse on monday. It’s been 3 months since I placed the order I had no idea that it was going to be this crazy, I don’t think I will be doing this again.
My advise to anybody that wants to buy one of this cabs is to talk to customs broker “FIRST” before you even place your order, I had a hell of a time trying to find one that will take my order since most of them only want to deal with container orders NOT “loose cargo”. I was also in dager of being fined $5000 because I didn’t feel out a form that needed to be turned in before the cargo was shipped.
I feel that if coinop would have warned me about all the things that I need it wouldn’t been such a problem but would only reffer to this things once I brought it up.
My total price for the cab:
Cab- $1000.00
Shipping- $350.00
Freight- $88.00
Wharehouse- $120.00 ($20/day until you get customs clearance after the free period)
Customs Broker, Bonds, Customs Fees- $355.00
Grand Total: $1913.00
I’ll post some pics once I pick it up on Monday.
P.S. If one of you still going to order one cab from COINOP, PM me I found a tip that might be helpful and save you some money.
Best of luck with you, you better play that cab every fucking day of your life haha…Cant wait for pics & small review
I’ve been waiting to see some more screenshots of this modern LCD.
Please do post some photos when yo get the chance.
Sorry to hear man. Good luck with everything.
On my way to pick up!!!
“LORD PLEASE LET THIS BE OVER”
Hope everything went well, where are the pics!
Oh boy coin-op express.
Tell me about it -_-…
Well after having to miss a whole day of work, I went through a whole day of shit to get the wharehouse which was 30min away from my customs broker office to release the cab. So long story short I had to go back and forward between the office and the wharehouse a couple of times.
But FINALLY!!! my baby is HOME!!! the cab is better than what I expected, is pretty much compatible with everythin, Xbox360, PS3, Jamma, CPU… It has a video converting board for the jamma and multiple inputs in the back of the monitor such as SVGA, VGA, and component. The monitor outputs up to 1080i which I was surprised for the price, however I set the systems to 720p so this works great for me. I tried it with my Xbox360, PS3 and a Zero3 board everything works great.
LAG: I tested lag with the Jamma board and I couldn’t detect any, than I tried it with my systems using HDMI to VGA converters and I did notice some lag, not much but I think it had some. Then I switch to component cables and there was no noticeable lag at all, I tried it with SF4,SSF4, and MVC2, no lag at all. I even had my friend tried it and he couldn’t tell either. BTW we played MvC2 on 16:9 mode and crisp graphics and it was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen and I’m not even a marvel player.
Cons: It only has one coin slot and there is no volume control, however I already went to Radioshack and bought some stuff for around $22 to take care of that so now I have volume control.
Overall I am very pleased with the cab NOT with the service from coinop or the process.
I will post pics soon.
i’m glad you finally got your cab!! I was looking at the same one and I was 50/50 on the purchase (for kfo13 & now TTT2). I’m glad the cab is awesome but all the hassle you went through really makes the decision hard. cant wait to see the pics
Congrats man. Glad u finally got it. Didn’t know it came with a jamma converting board. How does zero 3 look on it with it being widescreen. does it stretch it or letterbox it on the sides?
How did you get the controls going? Already had pad hacks ready?
I xm about to pull the trigger on this cab. Coinop needs to step up their communication hough. Its tough in the emails.
Can’t wait for the pics
Glad to hear you got your LCD man, cant wait for the pics. Just curious how easy was it to put this cabinet through doors? I hear you can use this as a vertical unit…
Man im kinda regretting going w/ Atomiswave…I too ordered from Coinop , this looks like this would have been a better choice for me…
So the custom fees is automatic or was it just bad luck for you? As for the tip, can you hit me up in PM?
