I was going through the cockpit files which has all the victory icons, and noticed one victory icon have a heart. Ive never seen this icon before. Im just curious if anyone knows what victory condition gets the heart?
thanks

This is a long stretch and hopefully Iām posting it in the right placeā¦
Is there any way to mod the game so that the ālow character modelā setting is identical to what it was in vanilla SF4 PC? It seems like the low setting in AE PC still applies some sort of shader onto the character models whereas vanilla completely removed shaders.
It feels like this would drastically improve the performance of the game for me, since right now on lowest settings of everything I get about 50-55 FPS, just a few short of the optimal 60.
If Iām posting this in the wrong section I apologize, but I looked around and this thread seems like the best place to ask. Thanks.
This is a fine place to ask. No worries.
I donāt know of any way to do what you want, though, unfortunately. If you could find the shader files, you could try replacing them with empty files, but that might just cause a crash. If you try it, let us know how it goes.
Maybe someone else has some other ideas.
Have just been looking around in there myself, noticed the heart logo too, also noticed another similar file has an onscreen text printout for āsuper cancelā (as in the text that appears off to the side like āX hit comboā āreversalā etc), think there was another I could swear Iāve never seen in use. Iād guess there are some texture parts in there that didnāt get used in the end, or possibly overlooked like that whole deal with the misnamed/unimplemented light effect files.
That could be it, however, it was also in the vanilla game as well, and they updated the look of the icons in super, including the heart. If they decided to not use the heart in the end, i dont see the point of updating the icon for super when it came out. could be the artist they hired to update it didnt know it was an unused icon and updated it aswell. my only guess would be if it is an icon thats used, that it would have to be killing someone with a taunt that does damage, but i dont think anyone has a taunt that does that in this game.
I thought the heart would indicate a win by judgement, like in 3s.
Talkinā about unused assets, any ideas what āOver wavingā or āLimitā would stand for?
i believe ive seen limit in game, i could be mistaken. i have no idea what it would be for, same with over waving
could they be related to the Japanese and/or arcade versions?
that could also be a possiblilty. never played the arcade version or in japanese so i cant say for sure
Over waving was the one I was thinking of yeah. I have absolutely no idea what that could be for.
Saintsolo did u get this working eventually?
if you did can i nab the final file so i can use it for my title screen as well
Piuma did u figure how this works eventually? i want this too!
no, iām sorry
updated my blanka

U1 is now a completely different move, it does the same quick low hit, then you press U,F,B,UF, or UB and go shooting off in that direction. No longer need to hold PPP
Now has air electricity. No ex version, l,m,h the same except in fly mode. Can be used as instant air, during a hop or after a whiffed j.lp. Can also be canceled from a ground electricity by pressing U, UB, or UF
U2 tweeked, damage reduced but really versatile and easy to combo
lp blanka ball really easy to trade with, basically if you press a button at any point before it hits you are going to deal damage
some flying normals tweeked
I was messing with superfreeze, this is how it works
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/1792/superfreeze.png
all supers and ultras will two superflash parameters,
The first number means it starts on frame zero
Unk00 is just a toggle to turn super freeze on and off, the second superflash parameter simply turns it off on frame 44
Unk01 and Unk02 is the ratio of movement, basically here the opponent will move 1 frame for every 2c(44 in dec) frames you move
basically setting them to 100:100 has the same effect as setting them to 1:1, one character will always move at normal speed.
Ultra freeze the ratio would be 2C:0
if you reverse those numbers then you will move 1 frame for every 44 frames the opponent moves
and you can change when the superflash ends so you can make the effect last as long as you want
interestingly some inputs are recognized during super freeze, you can block, both high and low, and you can change rogs super from p to k
good shit, error1. If you add that parameter to a normal move, does it add the blue flash, too, or just do the movespeed shenanigans? Either way, you could make some dramatic footsies
sc_exe is the lightning effect, so you can add it with or without the slowdown
figured out how to make my fly mode turn around
here is a much improved fly mode and a bunch of other tweaks
UC1 doesnāt scale properly, it should count twice for scaling, I must be missing the flag that does that
I know this topic has been discussed before hand, but regarding changing the size of characters, would it be possible to increase the size of the skeleton files and animation, to match the model size? For example I increased the size all of Ibukiās EMG files equally in proportion so thereās no limbs independently bigger than others sheās just bigger and not even by that much I just made her about a foot taller, though and as expected I get the monkey face and other abnormalities itās not completely messed up though, it just looks like the animation/skeleton files are just not at the right relative size to the model. Is there any solution to this? Iām not exactly sure if this tutorial has anything to do with the files Iām trying to change the size of, but would it help?: http://filthypants.blogspot.com/2011/07/sensibeats-cmn-file-size-editing.html
I donāt think file size matters anymore, it just mattered in vanilla beacuse a bunch of different things where combined
