I downloaded Chun Li’s model for 3Ds Max from a japanese website ages ago not knowing what it is. Anyone want it?
I’m wondering. Is it me or does Vega’s(claw) col claw_cls not have a brush? I can’t find a place to either add full trans or partial.

Yeah but it’s all reflection controls and such. I’ll give it a go though.
Edit: I’ve filled everything basically. The reflections each and every RBG value… I have no idea how it reads the texture and places it on the mesh. This seems like a lost cause.
This is like my case when I was trying to erase Chun Li’s bracer spikes. There doesn’t appear to be any texture for those parts, they are just the mesh with some reflection filters or something. I don’t know if it’s possible to use alpha layers to erase those.
Hmm the spikes… Maybe it’s the way they do metal.

I’m busy working on Akuma’s P2 DLC outfit, trying my damnedest to remove the silly bow.
During my experiments, I found a useful method of identifying which objects are which on the actual character.
If you overwrite the object name via a hex editor (any random text string seems to work) it will remove all textures from that particular object.
For example:

For anyone else modding Akuma’s P2 outfit, this is what each object in the hexeditor corresponds to on the model.
d_tooth - lower teeth
tongue - tongue
u_tooth - upper teeth
jyuzu_mat - Bead Necklace
face - face
foot - lower body skin (waist to feet)
fundosi - ? couldn’t notice any change
obihimo_fusa - ? couldn’t notice any change
obihimo - Belt: Knot (knot and hanging frontal belt)
nawa_kata - Bow: Armpits
obi - Belt: Waist (wrapped around his waist)
skirt - skirt
nawa_fusa - Bow: Tassles (the frayed ends of the bow)
nawa - Bow (the main bulk of the bow on his back)
hand - Hands (up to his wrist)
body - upper body skin (Chest, Neck, Arms down to wrists)
eyes - eyes
hair - hair (doesn’t include hair tie)
himo_mat - hair tie
i know that the stage files are interchangeable so that we can change/rename the heavily populated stages like the drive-in stage with the less populated ones, like volcano or night back alley, which helps alot in terms of smoothness for those with mediocore pc such as me.
i was thinking of removing a number of objects from the stage if possible, such as the mohowk kid from the underpass stage, among other things. and if we can identify the objects in the stage, maybe we can customise it even further…
has there been any attempt of doing this?

If you change the SpcEnv_W to SpcBumpxxxxx and add alphablend to it, then you can had transparency to it.

by add, i mean replace something with alphablend/alphatest (i replaced the SpcCoeff or whatever)

Did you try partial transparency? (part of the blade removed) Or semi transparency? (glass looking claws)
I’ll give it a serious effort tomorrow. I don’t want to bug you over stuff like this. Wish I had a better understanding of this stuff.
I figured it out. (The claw thing) I changed the
SpcEnv_W to SpcBumpBrush_UV1_W
and changed the SpcCoeff to the first 39 characters of the alphablend, minus the 40th char (00)
it worked!


Left is cutoff claw right is glass.

Just throwing out possibilities…
