Hi guys.
I removed that awful pop thing they call “the SFIV theme”, and replaced it with the SSFIIT HD Remix theme - Clamato Fever to play instead in the main menu
If you like it, just replace BGM_MAIN_OM.csb in the STREETFIGHTERIV\Game\Sound folder.

Remember to backup your original file before overwriting.
Wow, you guys are seriously ahead of the pack. If we can manipulate how the COL files use alpha channels, that would be phenomenal, essentially allowing us to remove objects for only one skin instead for the entire costume set.
Ouch… So the tool is crap… Wait a minute. What GPU are people using when they see these black eyes and such? One thing I notice is… The textures are built to run on “default” setting. So those of you running higher then that will cause problems.
I’m sure some of you have thought of this already, but it’d be cool if some of you started making your own main menu designs and everything. That’d be pretty awesome.
No no no, there are no issues in-game (as long as the alpha channel completely covers the garbage (and with 100% opacity).
It’s just that the original “diffuse” map gets messed up.
About the VGA, brings me to an idea, disable CUDA, which is what the tool uses but default when your VGA supports it.
Just as a guess, do some of the object states in the COS file control whether or a not a texture will read alpha channels? Is that what those other states do?
About the “Black Eyes” problem, it’s gotta be a user error.
I got that problem the very first time I modified a texture.
It seems that the format is either wrong or the alpha channel got messed up.
Like this, it’s wrong.
Actually, I did find the win quotes and name graphics. Here’s what I wrote in a previous post:
They are actually graphics (.dds), not text, as one would expect.
I’m sure if you opened your extracted .dat file with Dragon Unpacker, you’d see the subtitles…in graphic form, rather than in text.
Can someone please make a tutorial on how to create custom intro music? I tried the steps used to create custom stage music (minus creating 6 tracks with different tempos and length) but I just end up with a csb file that causes no music to play in the menu. I’ve got the adx encoder, Psound, and the csb unpacker. Is there some program and/or step I’m missing? Do you need to set specific parameters when using one of these programs? Thanks in advance.
