Don’t edit it as a DDS in PS. Save it as a PSD then edit it then save as DDS.

Thank you very much for the kind reply. I came to that conclusion when I played with it, it was obvious once I realize the file to edit was the .dat file extracted from the .cos.emz file.
I really liked and wanted the black bikini skin the Chinese guys made for Cammy, but it was unusable as it was a .tpf file requiring the use of texmod and a hacked .exe. So I edited the red one to make it black. I removed the thin string on the chest(which I hated), and softened up her abs and thigh which I thought were just too muscular/cut to be cute/sexy on Cammy without her leotard covering over it.

There was one for World of Warcraft were you could export all of the 3D models and their animations, its used to check out the look of new armour and clothes, also used to make story themed video’s.
This would be amazing for SFIV, entire films could be made using it.

It’s the same Goku/Saiyan one you’ve seen, I think it’s also on the first page. But I thought a single orange color for EVERYTHING was way too bland so I changed the colors on the rope parts. I also changed his eyes to green to match the Saiyan theme. I’ve just been messing around with a lot of skins, downloaded ones and also from scratch. Modding the mods, if you will.
I can upload it if you want, I think it’s by those “Chinese guys” so it should be fine. Same reason I uploaded the Cammy one without asking, since the original “author” seem to be nameless Chinese haxxorz.

I’ve run into a strange problem. I went to edit some Cammy files, something simple just to change the color number for the 2 skin to the 5 skin. And the code for the skin isn’t the same as before. I can’t even find the lines im supposed to edit.
Anyone have this problem?

I think it’s kinda odd to see nVidia’s logo when starting the game since my video card is Radeon.

Extract the archive and place the (ironically named) nvidia_1280x720.emz file in directory \Street Fighter IV\Game\Logo, but first backing up the original file.

Seconded. I’m also looking for how to extract text script (I mean winning quotes, prologue and ending subtitles…). I believe they are stored in folders such as: CAPCOM\STREETFIGHTERIV\Game\Prologue\Subtitle\ENG
I tried to uncompress the file with offzip and the command: offzip.exe -m 16 -a -z -15 RYU.emz TEST 0
However it doesn’t work, I only get ‘RAW’ data, no ASCII text.
Has anyone succeeded in this before?
Has anyone figured out how alpha layers behave? How come it sometimes turns things transparent and sometimes doesn’t? For example, I can use alpha layers to make Chun Li’s sleeves transparent, but this doesn’t work when I try it with her leg curtains.
Yes, I know how it works after studying some Chinese article that Providenceangle posted.
The COL files also contain information about a texture, like if it should use an alpha channel or not.
I’m gonna try something on that “curtain” in just a minute, would be cool if it works.
