Modding PS3/PS4 TE2 with Brook UFB -- what to do with PS3/PS4 switch?

First post I’m making on Tech Talk. I’ve only asked a bunch of questions so far, and this one is no exception. Rather new to modding but with all the help I got here I got almost a perfect Frankenstein TE2 stick in my hand =)

I’ve modded my TE2 with Brook Universal Fightboard, so it no longer has TE2 stock PCB. I’ve wired the stick mode button and lock button to L3 and R3, respectively. Got the player LEDs working. Only thing left on the secondary board that is not functional, is the PS3/PS4 console switch.

I’ve done some messing around to find that the left joint from underneath the secondary board (there are 3 solder joints – left, middle, and right; left and right correspond to PS3 and PS4 respectively) holds whatever button signal assigned to it. Right joint activates the button signal but does not hold.

Can this be used to, possibly, wire up a ground signal so that switch left = ground ON, and right = ground OFF? I’m thinking this can become the new start/select lock.

Or any other suggestions on what to use it for?

I’m wondering too

well, i kinda figured it out after some time that it can be used like a lock switch for start/select/home, so long as wiring for those buttons allow. i’ll be messing around with this in a few days.

Did you tap into LS/DP/RS button? and where you able to assign it as L3 ? & the lock & unloaded for R3?
