Modding ki arcade stick with seimitsu parts

Topic in the name. Anyone done it? With joystick or buttons. Run into any problems? The brackets on the joystick mount up?

Depends on the joystick, some need different mounting plates etc.

I did it.

For the stick I put in an LS-40 with the S mounting plate. You have to install the stick sideways and rotate the stick pcb. I had to take a drill to the side holes on the TE2 mounting bracket cause the matte black finish they had on it did not let the bolts screw in. I also had to flip the 8 way gate selector and maneuver the wire harness so that it would not interfere with the te2 pcb case cover. If you don’t do that the stick cover will not close.

For buttons I put in semitsu screw ins and they fit just fine but I took them out to put Sanwa RG’s which surprisingly enough fit in the case without having to bend the microswitch prongs. I had to remove the LED board to get both of those button types to fit. Semitsu screw nuts will be needed for the jab button cause sanwa nuts are to thick and interfere with the stick mounting. IF YOU USE SEMITSU BUTTONS, YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE LED BOARD BECAUSE THE BUTTON SWITCHES ARE TO BIG TO FIT IN THE LED BOARD HOLES.

Thanks for the replies. Doesn’t sound like too much work buyproduct.
