Modding fightstick to work on any platform

Hey,

I did try searching but I couldn’t find anything, nor did I know the right terminology to search for so sorry if this is a repeated thread.

I just wanted to know, while I’m grabbing some new buttons and a Joystick to mod my cheap Venom PS4 stick, I wondered what steps/PCB’s/connections would I need to make so that I can use it on PS4/XBONE/PC etc?

and where can I get them from? I’m in Eu

You are looking to install a Brook Universal Fighting Board. Check out either:
ArcadeForge (DE)
Or…
Arcade World UK

Be warned that while it will make your stick compatible with PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC (recommended via Xbox 360 mode)…

It costs more than your entire stick.

Else, welcome to the wonderful world of Xbox One padhacking. Happy Soldering!

The easiest way would be to replace your venom pcb with a Brooks universal pcb

the pcb software can be updated when it stops working due to ps4/xb1 system updates

No one can answer question without you providing more information. What do you mean by ‘etc’? Be clear about all the systems you want your stick to work with.

Good point, to be honest I don’t know why I put etc. PS4, xbone and PC is about it as they are the only three consoles I would ever need to use it on.

Okay so, maybe I’ll end up being better off just getting another stick to play on xbone, or look into seeing if I can get a universal one second hand. Thanks for your help, I guess that’s pretty much the info I needed!

Just seen Mayflash sell universal ones, I guess that would just be a good alternative as it’s only £100 anyway, they do do some cheaper ones too.

Don’t buy that, it’s crap and requires you to plug an existing controller into the stick.

If all you want is PS4 & Xbone then sadly your main option is a Brook UFB, they are expensive but cheaper than a new stick and easy to install.

The cheapest solution would be to dual mod your Venom with a Xbone pad pcb… but you’ll need to have the required skills and tools to do so. Also try asking any local modders as their service may be a bit cheaper than just throwing a Brook UFB at it.

Noted! I didn’t notice that.

Yeah I’m not sure I would do to be honest haha, I’ll have a look about and see if that could be a solution.

To be fair though… Razer Atrox are only £89.99 right now on Overclockers UK…

Ok… but that won’t work on PS4 without modding it or using a converter.

I have one for my PS4

I don’t mind having to take a different stick, it was just I thought it’d be easier having one modded one, but considering the PCB is the same price as a Razer stick, I may aswell get another stick
