hey everyone, I new here and I discovered something odd with Juri’s far s.hk. I was playing a Dudley and I was able to do a s. far hk through his focus attack. I just hopped right through him. Went and tested it in training mode and it still works…can Juri hop through focus attacks or is this just an odd coincidence? Sorry if this is already known, searched the best I could and didn’t see anything about it.
Yes, I noticed that too and with Dudley as well, most likely it’s weird hitboxes to blame.
Its mainly an odd occurance because Juri moves forward with he s.HK and Dudley moves forward with his Focus attack. I’ve seen it happen often. Edit: Prolly should add because Juri is also moving airborne high, and even though Dudley is hitting mid, his hitbox lowers, allowing Juri to move over him.
I got mopped up by two claw players. I still don’t understand how to counter the straight claw glide and that overhead claw wings or whatever its called haha. It’s quite annoying to play against, does anyone have a good claw experience I could get some practice on?
I feel you, I find her link combos really awkward 
I try to do c.LK > s.LK > c.MP/c.MK off a jump in and quite a lot of the time the s.LK is too far away to be considered close and throws the combo out the window Even then s.LK > c.MK/c.MP link feels odd to me, was nailing the harder link in practice but failing on the easier one in matches, it baffles the mind :looney:
Fuck juri’s focus… it’s so bad…
The hitbox for it is literally up near her standing neck, yo. Only giants will get hit by it crouching. Fucking Cammy will laugh at you.

I don’t know what you mean by activate automatically, but I thnk its complete BS that it can work as air to air and grab from behind him as well.
c.FP beats all of guy’s jump-ins, learn it love it, if done late it’ll trade with elbow though, just listen for the “Izuna!” and you’re gold
about his slides-just hold focus a little longer, you can catch him recovering, just not the actual slide, it was tricky for me first
I think her focus is a decent trade off, the range allows you to do crossup j.mk-c.mk-release L-FA2 which is pretty amazing for focus range.
the only thing I hate about guy now is how stupidly safe his shoulder is >:[
oh and yes, his grab is pretty instant, just don’t go air to air with him and punish him with c.FP, more juris should be using this as an anti air anyways, j.fap isn’t the answer to every situation unfortunately
I don’t mean instant, I mean does it activate as soon as the opp is within range? A la Gief Running bear? or is it like Gouki’s lp+lk on Demon Flip?
And I’m not using j.Faps too much. just on wake-up situations. As for anti-air, I find cr.strong makes me lose less life on trades, unlike cr.FP.
Actually you can. You have to have it started early.
IF you see guy doing bushin flip. DONT I repeat dont try to anti air him. He is most likely trying the grab and if you poke any move out you will get grabbed regardless if your crouching. Just let the throw whiff , block the move and if a normal throw is coming? Tech it.
I was actually learning that today, that cr MP destroys Guy’s annoying jump in attempts. His lame elbow is SOO irritating.
Anyone have trouble with Deejay? I need to look up Cammy and Ibuki details too. wow…
DeeJay gives everyone trouble at least for now. Especially with his piss easy knockdown >ambigous cross-up combos.
Oh…yes that’s one of the problems. I get crossed up and I’m not sure where it came from, then I eat machinegun paunch, and that’s just not how this matchup is supposed to go. Deejay is a muppet. I can’t bear to have Juri fail vs THAT
cr.mk ducks under Guy’s Elbow Drop and Izuna throw. Like Vega’s claw, if you time it right, you can cr.mk > Pinwheel of choice.
