I don’t get the MLP craze. The animation in the show is well done and amusing, but it hasn’t grabbed me enough to watch more than one episode.
That being said, this game looks great. I’m extremely impressed with the quality of the animation and gameplay for something that is being done for free. It makes me want to go back and watch more episodes of MLP to find out what about it inspired such an amazing looking game.
My only critique at the moment would be the lack of vigor in the animations. They’re all very nice, but they come off as very underwhelming to me. The ponies’ movements are too slight when animating. I realize this is to mimic the visual style of the show, but I feel like the game would benefit from some more vivacious animations and effects. Slight things like increasing the size of the ponies’ hooves (or whatever body-part they use) when they attack really add to the visual impact of the game and breathe life into it.
Anyway, I can’t wait to play!
People have different tastes, and it turns out a lot of people like MLP when it’s made by people who know how to make a good cartoon.

As much as I liked this week’s ep, I am far too busy trying to prepare myself for the masterpiece that next week’s episode is sure to be.
It’s a murder mystery. On a train. With Pinkie Pie heading the investigation.
That episode will be godlike.

That’s cool bro, It’s not for everyone, but bear in mind that one episode isnt usually enough to acurately judge. It took me 3 episodes to decide i liked it
that said, the fighting game team mentioned that the animation will get better and flasheir in the future, theyre just making sure it all works first

Well, I really enjoy the animation in it. I didn’t particularly dislike the episode I watched, it just didn’t really interest me enough to keep watching. I suppose I’m just not into modern cartoons outside of Family Guy.

Man, yesterday’s episode was awesome. Wasn’t expecting that. AJ and Big Macintosh’s role reversal was priceless. That episode might actually be a good introduction point to the show for people.
