The VA for Twilight has done a lot of work, and she seems damn good at it.
I lol’d after finding out she was Princess Clara from Drawn Together. While watching the show, tripped me out how fuckin’ Twilight sounded so damn familiar.
Tara Strong is in practically everything.
Her resume is so rediculous.
On the subject of Fighting is Magic, I’m kind of suprised at the lack of gameplay discussion.
Isn’t SRK supposed to be the place where we come up with full gameplay systems based on still images, and tier games by non-consecutive frames of animation.
Where’s all the theory fighter?

Well, from what we’ve seen so far, it’s hard to say how the game will actually turn out.
The gravity from the characters seem a bit light, and some moves seem very powerful. I’m wondering how exactly does AJ’s whip work? Can it grab people from OTG state into a combo? If so, it seems easy to end combos in hard knock downs and go on from there.
Then we got Twilight’s moves, which all seem too good in general (as stated before, the page tearing move).
There was a character in Daemon Bride who had the same exact move. The character would remove a magical page from his book, and it will slowly float down until it hit ground or the opponent. Thing is, when it hit the ground, that was it, it disappeared. Even in a move that gave you the ability to dash through fireballs, this move was damn good! I can only imagine a move like this without a feature to pass up fireballs to be good deadly in a lot of her match ups.
Derpy will be S-tier.
I’d love to talk about the actual game, but we don’t really know anything about how the game’s gonna end up. All we know now are ponies. So we’re talking about ponies.
Fair enough. I’m not going to complain about talking about ponies. Especially with (dat) season 2 coming up.
But I still expect far more absurd speculation from SRK.
Also, on Pinkie Pie, if she isn’t the most brutally oppressive rushdown character ever, I’d be kind of dissappointed. I’m talking like MvC2 Mags + MvC3 Wolverine + AE Yun.
But, I’ll be maining *The *Rainbow Dash, even if she is free to like half of the cast.
I just wonder how they’re gonna handle Dashs (and I guess Fluttershys) flying. Some sort of fly mode?
Im hype to main Rainbow Dash… I want some AtoA combat vs Celestia!
But if a Lyra Bonbon team exists, I may be forced to stray.
RBD is still best pony for me though (though theyre all amazing. RBD just doesnt afraid of anything)

I just started watching this show after seeing threads on this fighting game, lol. Guess I’m late to the party.
As for the chars, I can totally imagine everyone’s combat style except for Fluttershy. How exactly do you think they’ll make her? Shit-ton of animal assists?
Maybe something like Maori in AH3?

Honestly, yeah.
Maybe she’ll have like a normal attack her and there, but for the most part I could see her having a lot of animals helping her out during mid-strings.
Lol, be nice to see her have a super related towards Swarm of the Century where she would call out those parasites and they would act like Hail Storm or something.

Like someone said earlier, she’s a crappy flier for being a Pegasus but in a fighting game that could be good. Quick overheads!!!
I was imagining Flutteryshy as Dizzy, where someone else is doing the work for her. Have Angel do all the fighting, or if the animals are assists then make it so that Flutteryshy is quivering or to timid in response.
I haven’t played it much myself, I watch tournies but I only have a chance to play at UFO, and I just spam beta shots with Petra.
But from my understanding, Maori has all brothers/sisters (only sisters?) that are like marvel assists and stuff. I assume they’re done like special moves. I’m sure Pozer could clear everything up.
Either way, yeah I assume she’ll have some kind of animal control, since like that’s the only thing she’s got. What will be super interesting if she can fly or float like Storm. Even more awesome if she could do the MvC3 Storm nonsense where you float and call assists. It would be cool to have Fluttershy flying in the corner calling chickens and bunnies or whoever for captain corridors or something.
edit: Oh yeah, her super needs to be exactly like Strider’s animal super.
