This is such horrible news, I for one loved the older voice and it took alot of guts for Hasbro to do this for there fans, though I knew this would happen. Now that I see this I…I…My heart just sank im going into Pinkamena mode right now.
This isn’t that big a deal and I can see why they changed her. Like it or not, this show is meant for kids. As adults, we know not to call some cross-eyed klutz names. Some children don’t. The last thing that needs to happen is for some cross-eyed little girl be made fun of at school because the kids all call her Derpy. That’s not friendship, and if the fandom has to make a small concession to prevent a child’s tears, so be it. But, while I can see why they altered her eyes, I’m not sure why they changed her voice. She didn’t sound any stupider than say, Snails. Maybe it was because her voice also caught fan flak for originally sounding too masculine and they thought feminizing it would make the fans feel better? Who knows.
All in all, are you really going to stop calling her Derpy?

As much as that killed me inside, I think mane6 shoudnt be fazed. If DERPY gets into fighting is magic (which she should), she should retain her *original voice. It’s the least we could try and do.

I’m betting on Derpy being in the game as a secret character at the first release. Beating all of the mane six, as well as Luna (without continuing in under 25 minutes) will pit you against Celestia. But before the fight starts, she is hit on the head by a flower pot, anvil, cart full of hay and an upright piano… and the apologetic removalist mare fills in for the princess in the final fight.
