Not sure if that princess Twilight is official foreshadowing or something else but if it’s official: Twilight, ascended to deity tier, will probably still wield the elements of harmony with friends, Twilight is OP please nerf soon.
I think fans at some point took to calling the winged unicorn princesses (Celestia, Luna, Cadence) ‘alicorns.’ Wikipedia has a small mention of the term being used as such (Winged Unicorn), but I have no real knowledge on the correct mythological terminology for such a creature. Horses possessing both avian wings and forehead tusks of mystical origin, I say.

Pretty much true, although some people prefer to think of Cadance as a winged unicorn, rather then an Alicorn. The fandom (At least the fanfiction side of it) has pretty much decided that being immortal is a prerequisite for being an Alicorn, which not many believe Cadance is.
To Rhio2k, I’m well aware of what a winged unicorn is, I was just using the fan given terminology for it, hence why I mentioned fimfiction in the first place. A lot of people like to write stories of Twilight somehow taking over Equestria as its new princess, usually involving her taking Celestia’s power in some way. Resulting in a badly written, Twilight becomes an Alicorn story.
Don’t know about this talk of Twilight becoming an “Alicorn” being serious or not. However I still have hope that the creators of FiM are smart enough to know that fans would definitely not approve of it. I get that FiM’s main viewing audience is supposed to be kids, but they have done a great job with pleasing their adult fanbase so far.
Does Celestia still even have power? The Changeling Queen burned her ass out like she was nothing. She may have recovered from that, but I think she may have lost a lot, and instead of letting her subjects find that out, she passes the remainder to Twilight to add to her own power base and it was enough to boost her into bi-species status, making Twilight eligible to shit on Luna (that’s twice now…Nightmare Moon making a comeback this season, maybe?) and cut in front of her to take the throne.

Ultra Magnus inheriting the matrix, that worked out, lol. I honestly don’t know about the whole wings thing. For all we know, it could have been a superfluous addition to that banner with no correlation to the upcoming season. If something like this does happen, we’ll just have to trust that the writers can handle it well, which I presently do.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. She reminds me of an anime character that is supposed to be powerful but always ends up getting their ass handed to them. Can’t quite think of the name though. XD
