So im not new at all to fighting games and have never had an issue with performing moves. I am a pad player and enjoy the placement of the r1 r2 buttons on playstation systems therefore using the fight pads is not my style. However after purchasing a PS4 and using the factory pad all of the sudden the left to right moves which seem to be in every players arsenal (even moves that used to be different inputs in previous mk games) are almost impossible to hit without mashing. It requires almost perfect input and you cant buffer the moves. So holding back then going forward is impossible. You have to perfectly left off back, reset then hit back again then forward to maybe have the move come out…Is there anyone else having this problem? I have tried two ps4 controllers. Any suggestions?
No problems here, except for me backdashing a lot at the start, since I used to double tap back, then forward for back forward inputs.
Only thing I had a problem with was with Scorpion when I wanted to end a combo with slide (b,f+bk), I’d often cancel into spear (b,f+fp) because of negative edge.
Turned off negative edge and now everything is fine.
I also noticed the inputs being stricter in this game, but I actually like it.
being that your an importer/exporter i figured the stricter tolerances would be tougher on you…haha but seriously negative edge?
I play on stick but for moves to come out you have to hold the final direction then press the button. So if your move is down, forward, 1, you have to press 1 while holding forward for the move to come out. Cancels in this game also need to be input much faster than in street fighter.
