This is very strange…
Was it for PS3 or 360? My friend got kicked out of online the other night on 360 for an update while he was playing and got an update, but I never did. MS is rolling out some XBL update in waves over the month, so it may have just been that…?

Did you put in a game recently besides MK that needed an update? If you did then the first MK update (the launch one, 3mb i think) was deleted because your cache on your xbox is full.
Like recently, I played some DLC for that castlevania game that came out last year, and it needed an update. Put MK in after… got an update.
I had updated R6 Vegas 2 last night so this may have caused the issue…
