MK9 Update Version 1.02 is live!

Hmm anybody else not able to see the patch list on testyourmight.com? can someone copy and paste the list on here.

I dunno why it wouldn’t show on testyourmight.com for me but it seems it was a common problem for many people using internet explorer and chrome it seems. hmm I guess i didnt notice that first post. Thanks.

After the update my game stopped working… It just freezes before the main menu :confused:

All I can do is wait for a fix I guess.

Mine did the same thing. The Mortal Kombat emblem would show and then a few seconds later it freezes. This happened under a couple of different accounts. However after 2 hard shutdowns and restarts of the PS3 it worked. It happened one other time but hasn’t happened since. Good luck

Oh I found out that the reason I couldn’t see the info was because I wasn’t a member

for fuck sakes, what the hell is going on with this? my ps3 wont update and it still says it’s running 1.01. I guess this is the reason I can no longer get an online match going (game session is no longer available on the character select screen).

Did you guys have to do something special to force it to update to 1.02?

Still haven’t gotten the patch. EU PS3. Sorry, but this is stupid. We also ain’t gotten the Kostumes yet. o.O

The patch seems to be causing a ton of bugs. I wonder if they took down the update to iron those out.

Cool that we are continuing to see NetherRealm give this game a considerable amount of attention. Although I do hope that the updates will become less often and sporadic at some point, thus allowing for everyone to understand the capabilities of the characters and get an overall feel for them without having to worry about constant significant changes and the necessity for serious play readjustments. That being said, I think that most of these character changes are good, and it’s cool that the netplay is being improved (from what I’ve heard, at least; I don’t play online, myself).

I feel like I should voice my opinion on the Kung Lao changes. I am fine with Kung Lao’s damage being lowered, his hat loop removed, his infinite taken out, and his spin being made more punishable. Those nerfs make sense to me, and I think they’re all fair. However, the corner combo nerf causes the opponents to unnaturally drop out of not only the dive kick combos, but also other corner combos. I find this to be unreasonable, and honestly hope that they will change this back and find some other way to nerf him if they really feel it necessary after all of the other nerfs. For example, any second dive kick in a combo could cause damage proration. I really just want the character to be able to combo normally in the corner and get proper knockdowns when they are to be earned.

Also, if the aim is to nerf the characters that are really strong, it seems it’d be more well-rounded if they’d also reach Raiden (and his incredibly fast, often impossible to punish teleport), Kitana (with her mid-screen damage and difficult to punish escape move), and Nightwolf (who basically has a 3/4 screen mixup of the very quick lightning and shoulder, along with a particularly extensive set of tools).

Did this patch improve netplay at all while it was live? I’ve scoured the various MK forums and I can’t find any solid information.

I have no confirmation from NRS, but online play does seemed improved drastically. Almost all my games are going to be as lag free as possible, HOWEVER there are so many bugs with the “desyncronized” error that you can’t even get passed the character select screen before the game quits and you are returned to the lobby.

Last night I spent 25 minutes before I was able to get ONE lag free game in. Once I got a sync’ed connection with another player, I played for about an hour of lag free matches. Basically right now it’s a trade off…you spend a lot of time and frustration trying to get a game sync’ed to get lag free matches.

Patch is out on XBL fyi. Thanks to REO for letting us know.

Any idea why EU PS3ers (Dunno about XBL) haven’t gotten the patch yet…?

online is better, but not by much and it’s still really fucking unstable. I think I am about done with this game. back to AE

Well at least they improved it ‘a bit’. However, NRS have also convinced me not to buy this game, cheers.
I’m happy for everyone that got / feels an improvement though. Hope NRS keeps up their support for you folks.

I just downloaded the patch for XBL.

King of the Hill seems to be less laggy,
but there are desync issues all over the place.

Edit: Maybe because I’m on in the morning? People from other countries are usually flooded in the rooms this early. I’ll test it out during peak hours.
