Sonya’s high low mixup = non-existent
39% meterless combo:
j.2~dive, 2,1~cartwheel, dash, b+2,1~leg grab
37% Okizeme variation:
j.2~dive, 2,1~cartwheel, dash, b+2,1, dash, 4,4~Arc kick
47% X-ray:
j.2~dive, 2,1~cartwheel, dash, b+2,1~X-ray
Her dive seems to be able to become extremely ambigous to block.
yeah i was kinda wondering about her mixup potential as well… maybe it’s just me, but it seems simple to just duck under most of her combos.^ gotta work on that 47%
Here are some sonya combos that i came up with- MS= Military Stance
2,1-cartwheel, dash, B+2,1,F+2, (Slight pause) 1,1,4-MS,2 31%
B+2,1-cartwheel, dash, B+2,1,F+2, 2-MS,1+3,1+2 37%
1,1,4-MS,B+2, (Walk Slightly) 1, B+2,1-MS,1+3,1+2 26%
Corner Only Sonya Swag Combo
B+2,1-cartwheel, B+2,1,Kiss, B+2,1,F+2, 1,1,4-MS,1+3,1+2 43%
Mix up wise, i usually use F+1 in MS and 1+3. Good high low mix up and the low is safe from my knowledge. hope i could help.

Remember, all these combos can be started from a ground Kartwheel as well (Obviously)
whats the point of sonya’s drill kick?, where she arcs over projectiles? are we really supposed to use that thing as anti projectile? it seems to have major startup.

I happen to use it quite a bit.
She has a decent overhead so her mix-up potential isn’t that bad. Loving Sonya for her speed.
Thanks for the stuff, I will eventually change all of my combo notation to Tekken style, since I think its more efficient.
I find it easier for people to understand my combos if I type them out like in my videos.
For example:
Jump 2
Down 4
4
Kartwheel (Down, Forward, 3)
1
Dash
1
Energy Ring (Back, Forward, 2) (Can also be replaced with EX Rings)
I can be used as that, just be smart with it. Its really all she has, cause she doesn’t have a teleport like a lot of the other characters. Its got invincibility as a wakeup move though.
huh? are you talking about j.2? Idk MK mechanics but I was under the impression that everyone’s j.1-2 or j.3-4 were generally around the same speed. In fact, I assumed all air attacks were pretty much the same for every character lol. (not counting airthrows and fireballs etc)
If you’re not talking about j.2 then what? To my knowledge she doesn’t have a standing overhead. (or medium in this game, I guess) Her divekick can be blocked low.
Anyway she seems like she’ll end up being a pretty solid character. If anything she’s a bit faster than other characters. Her damage seems to be decent, airthrow and divekick are nice extra options. Maybe we’ll find some use for drill kick or extra stuff with military stance. Her weakness seems to be mixup. I wish bf4 worked on block lol.
All in all I would guess she’d fall somewhere into midtier along with most of the cast in this game. But what do I know!
Also, does kiss do something else that I don’t know about? lol
EDIT: nevermind, just now finding out about Military stance > 1+3
Kiss is meant to guarantee a hit, but I wouldn’t rely on it. If they duck it its a free uppercut.
