I wanna know if you can stop your combo mid way through and block/punish breakers.
Lol if thats true expect a huge shit storm even bigger than dlc chars being on disk.
They don’t care if it causes a shit storm, because the people that buy it used are not their customers. They do not get a $.01 from them, they couldn’t care less.
Yep, looks like a online pass like EA does with all there games.
Well the company that pays to produce, make, package, promote etc the games dont see a penny of used game sales. Cant blame them at all.
PS- Fuck GS.
very well said.
Even so, that’s just bound not to go over well. Even though “used” customers aren’t necessarily their target, they can still spread word of mouth. Even people who bought the game might think that’s kinda shady. Also, I’ve heard about this with other games, but not fighters. If MK is the first fighter to do this, that might put a dent in the rep they’re trying to build even if the game is actually good.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I just get a bad feeling about this.
It’s more like used customers arent even a market lol.
I’ve seen with EA stuff where it will sometimes be marked lower because of the addition fee.
I’m not a fan of the practice myself, seeing how they’ve made and gotten their money for that item already (when it was bought new). But I’m biased because I’ve HAD to buy games used for the most part. It’s their decision, and mine if I want to buy it used with this knowledge
When it comes to used games and piracy. It feels like companies don’t have much of a choice but do that online pass and I don’t blame them. Those games aren’t cheap to make and they need earn their profits by any means possible.
Virtually every company will end up going this route fairly soon it’s not a huge deal.
The kind of people who whine and cry about stuff like this or DLC characters on disc aren’t a very big portion of the user base.
Plus those people still buy the game anyway while they complain about it.
Don’t see an issue with online passes. I tend to buy my games mostly new.
However, I don’t buy many games. My standards are often high, although I tend to hit the occasion hit or miss (see MvC3)
I don’t have an issue with it either. The used price is never low enough compared to new to make me ever think about buying it. Some games are not worth $60 to me, so I wait for a sale which happens quite often.
MK used would be $50 still, fuck that, pay the extra $10 and support the creators. Or you can wait, and you will definitely find it on sale in the first 2 months somewhere.
Why don’t other games do this? There’s like no drawback.
Because the game industry as a whole is afraid of customer backlash. But once something catches on you can be sure EVERYONE will be doing it. EA and THQ are getting away with it, other companies will notice and start to do the same.
Looks like from the raiden trailer sheeva is confirmed! Now I can play tsung and sheeva.
