I don’t think an exclusive character and dibs on the demo is PS love. In fact, I think it’s kinda weak. They would need to do more to convince me they’re really showing favoritism one way or the other.
Yes I have a PS3, why do you ask?

39 is poison. Watch the Johnny Cage vs Zombie Goro clip again.
Link??
LOL
I was going to buy the game anyway and I’m a PS+ member, so I’m looking forward to the demo next week. I know a lot of people are moaning about it, but it is good that they added Kratos for PS3, because it will definitely give them more sales. My friend does not play fighting games other than casual Tekken and he’s going to buy it because it has Kratos. LOL
Was that in one of the MKasts or something? I didn’t see it.
This demo has me both nervous and excited. I have my regular truck full of Morton’s Salt about the gameplay, and this demo is make or break. I seriously hope I’ve been at least a little wrong about the gameplay all this time.
Kratos + mortal kombat = perfect fit.
This game is looking really fun. Hope it sells millions and gets more support from the devs.
Anybody else just see Ed Boon and MK on Gamespot’s live GDC thing? New footage of Kano, Ermac, Liu Kang, Noob, and Jax, plus a bit of a look at Challenge Tower.
Edit: Archived version up!

Have they said anything about Test Your Luck in multiplayer?
Wow, that is good for the pros getting paid. Hope they stream it.
This game is looking really, really fun. I’ve never treated Mortal Kombat seriously before, but MK9 has just got me so pumped right now. I’m so excited to hit the lab with this game and figure shit out. 2011 is shaping up to be an amazing year for FG fans. Drools
any hand on impressions from the MK9 Bus Tour?
I can’t help but be very optimistic about this game. It really shaping to be a good game, though we haven’t play it yet, the core seem balance enough, the only thing that may be scaring is gauge management, and the developers already confirm to be making necessary patches as the game grows.
Their are some fear in how an this team may handle balance decisions. Hopefully the relationship with the FG community and developers is faithful.
optimism is the downfall of the modern gamer
Mastermalone is a vet over at Mortal Kombat Online (I know, but hear me out). Way back in '05-'06 when Armageddon was to be released, he had compiled a list of things wrong with Deception by scanning the MKO posts. He and some others even made a CD with videos of glitches, infinites and stuff. He went to a Mortal Kombat event and passed along the documentation and CD to the MK guys. Even had pictures of himself doing it. It was with the intention of making things better for Armageddon. We all know that bombed, because Armageddon was sadder than watching a 10 year old with brittle bones throw a football and just crumple into a pile. Still, hats off to him for trying. My point is, this is a good sign. I’m still cautious, but I’m approaching the demo expecting less pain than before.
MasterMalone is the man. I trust his words like scripture. so should everyone else.
The game looks okay, it’s one of those things you’re not really going to know if you like or not until you play it. I’m still concerned about the block button and how to adjust to that.
What do you guys think the tourny standard will be for this game?
1v1 or the 2v2?
2v2 looks interesting with all the assist mechanics and different combos.
I’d guess 1v1 will be the standard, though 2v2 looks really fun, especially with how neat the tag in combos look.
