Still this deluge of new info makes me extremely pleased I put down my pre-order for this game.
I’m gonna be ripping some heads off come April 19th.
Based on Lupinko’s track record of being right with his released information, there is very little to doubt in my mind.
Every single character I would ever want is going to be in this game. This is basically the culmination of MKII / UMK3 combined into a single game updated to modern conventions and a few extra additions such as Quan Chi who wasn’t in the original trilogy and that new Red colored Female Ninja.
Oh yeah. This is going to be awesome!

I don’t think Netherrealm studios is going to run into the same problems they had with Motoro as they did in Mortal Kombat Armageddon.
Considering that this game is a essentially a 2D fighter with 3D graphics there is no side stepping to be factored into the equation, only creating the necessary animations to move forward and backward.
So if Motaro is ever in this game at all I’d expect him to be very similar to his MK3 incarnation and not the bastardization of his character that was done in Armageddon.
