Naw, check out the MK2 ninjas and you’ll see the same quilted pattern. Palette swap ftw :D, I’d be fine taking these klassic skins as the default they look that good
yup, that was the material they used for the ninja costume for MK2.
The silhouette in Mileena’s wallpaper looks like someone of Liu Kang’s build.
It’s knitpicking, I know, but I’m disappointed that the picture of Scorpion is literally the same exact stance and everything, just a different color. They could have made him at least stand different so the picture wasn’t essentially just a photoshop job…
Kills the excitement to see Sub-Zero cause we know it’ll look exactly the same.
Then again, it could have been in homage to the concept of the oldschool palette swaps, but I just don’t think they’re that clever or that good at trolling. It’s just laziness.
I can understand it being the same for Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but hopefully not for Ermac (that would really be lazy). I like the MK3 ninja suit the most.

I havent heard officially, but all the characters will get a classic outfit, probably coming in one DLC pack sometime later this year.

The question is whether or not the other ninjas will have MK1 ninja costumes despite never actually wearing them or if their classic outfits will be reminiscent of MKII and UMK3 depending on the game in which they first premiered.
I’m convinced we will eventually see classic costumes for the entire cast. Maybe even multiple classic costumes for characters who had more than one throughout the original trilogy.
I’m gonna go with ALL characters on this one… otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense.

In that case, Ermac wouldn’t be getting the “classic” ninja get-up. He’d be getting the UMK3 one (first game he appeared as more than a glitch). I’m wondering what outfit Shang Tsung would get.
I would bet eventually they will have all the classic costumes. People keep buying the dumb shit they release in costumes packs for SSFIV its safe to assume they will do the same for this.
if my memory serves me well, seems like some of the new outfits are entirely too similar to the original outfit to be worth making a “classic”… for example, Nightwolf? The Cyborgs?
