I thought it seemed to jump up a bit too fast as well, but figure it’s more they want to show it off so the meter’s building faster than it will on release.
The Breaker looks nice too, and could have some actual impact on when to use the special meter for a breaker or a XRay

I am glad they removed some of the tapping moves, whilst playing MKVsDC some of the tap moves seemed to only come out at random and no amount of muscle memory and practice could change that. Good riddance. Things like Scorpion’s spear throw worked well, Liu Kang’s bicycle kick not so much.
I say let boon and nrs take as much time as they need into developing mk9. there’s some serious cosmetic tweaks that need to be address. ever noticed how funny scorpion’s arm looks when he takes out and puts away his sword (no homo)? and kitana’s hair is lololololololololol. makes me a bit nervous on what sindel is gonna look like.

tim and fellow mk o.g’s: i’d put all the money in the bank on the new versions of mk1, mk2, and umk3. i’m sure when we get more info on those games, mk9 will cease to exist for some of yous. all in due time folks.
i personally am excited for all that is mk coming out soon. and in terms of competitive mk9, if you guys really think 1v1 is gonna be the standard you’re silly. do u know how many marvel mk heads is gonna hype 2v2? :lol:

Heh. Kratos was already in a fighting game: that PSP Soul Calibur. I’d hate to see “console exclusive” characters in this new MK. It would…well, for lack of a better term: it would diminish the “soul” of MK. I kinda feel the same way about all the console characters in Soul Cal 2 and 4.
One character (who kind of fits in with the atmosphere of MK) doesn’t really diminish things anyway. That is, if he’s DLC. But it’s just a rumor.

These rumors of potential guest characters is bothering me. I’m fine with crossovers. I actually like them. And I don’t have any blanket hatred for special guests. I do have a problem with how Namco handles them in Soul Calibur, basically making them into the main attraction. But that’s not the issue here.
What would annoy me about any guest in MK 2011 is that this is Mortal Kombat’s rebirth in more ways than one. Adding a guest star, no matter who it is, will pervert that. I want this to be about Mortal Kombat in it’s purest form. I want all the hype and celebration to be about Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat alone.
Oh, and yes, Friendships are MK in its purest form so I would like them back. :wgrin:

Yeah. MKO had an update where the site was showing much more, but then reverted back to it’s original stage. I think we’re going to see “much more” at the end of these 12 days.
Well, I was wondering when we’d get more new, detailed information. Granted, it hasn’t been that long since PAX, but with MVC3 coming out with new content so often, I was wondering when MK would catch up.
