Ehh, I admit Baraka doesn’t seem like he has that… flair some of the other characters do. I think the gameplan for Baraka is to push them into the corner and whittle away their health. All his special moves save for his projectile seem to accomplish that.
With that said, I think he needs a little more juice, like maybe being able to juggle off EX Slices or something. I don’t wanna say he’s crap yet, though.
Naw I dig James and UltraDavid commentary, its the so called color commentary with bad jokes that I can’t stand.
Yeah, I know what you mean. There was some guy on the Marvel 3 portion of WNF last night trying to rename all of Dante’s moves “Razzle” and “Dazzle” and all other types of stuff. Got kinda tiresome.

Noobs X-Ray is really annoying; even if you hit him when he activates, the guy from behind still grabs you =(.
It’s impossible to get a feel for the flow of a match because of the lag; I guess I’m going to have to rely on streams to see what the game is supposed to look like :annoy:.

I have a noob question…
When a combo says something like 1+2, what exactly does that mean? I understand 1,2 means one after the other, but presses forward and back punch (or kick) at the same time seems to do nothing. What exactly am I supposed to do here? (example: Reptiles’ “Hybrid Crush” - 2, forward+3, 1+2)
Another question…
This one is kinda stupid… how do you do assists in tag matches? I have no problem doing tag combos or fast tags but I can’t figure out how to bring my partner out for just assists. Also, is this right? A tag combo involves your partner coming out swinging where a fast tag is a combo that just leads to bring your partner out, ready to battle.
I’ll be waiting around for a quick response, I wanna get back to training my Reptile

1+2 or other stuff is supposed to be both pressed at the same time. Dunno why it’s not working for you.
For Tag Assists you need 1 bar of super. The input for them are in the special moves section under the tag specials subsection labeled “Tag Assist.” As for Tag combos and Fast Tags, you are right, fast tags just get the partner into the screen without attacking while Tag combos bring the partner in attacking to continue the combo.

There are so many characters I’m aching to see played at a competent level. Hopefully Power Up will give us a good taste of what’s to come in terms of character representation.
So an apparent EX Midway/NRS employee is arguing with me on the MK9 SoCal facebook group that MK9 is a bad game and there’s nothing that can be done to fix it because NRS are so shitty at developing fighting games.
