Tournaments are BYOC! There will be no sticks or pads provided unless someone lets you borrow theirs!

Casuals and registration starts at noon. Once tournaments start, NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED.

RULES
=====================

Super Street Fighter IV (PS3 and 360) - Starting at 2:00 PM
2/3 rounds
2/3 matches, 3/5 finals
Double Elimination
Loser can pick a new character, but winner must keep theirs. Any player may switch ultras between matches.
Pot is 70/20/10 percent of entry fees
Color 12 is BANNED
Random stage select; in the event Volcanic Rim comes up, either player may request a stage change.
You will get to choose the system you play on, but conflicts will be resolved via coin flip.

Tekken 6 (PS3 ONLY) - Starting at 4:00 PM
3/5 rounds
2/3 matches, 3/5 matches for semis, 4/7 matches Finals match
Double Elimination
Random stage select
Pot is 70/20/10 percent of entry fees

HOUSEKEEPING
=====================

There is NO smoking indoors, and there is a smoking ban on campus, save for certain marked areas. Fortunately there is one in front of the union.

Parking may be very limited. I’ll check on this, but usually University Police doesn’t care during the summer and on weekends.

Casuals are welcome two hours before the tournament.

SETUPS ARE NEEDED AND WELCOME, AS ARE SURGE PROTECTORS!

Pressing the guide button during a match results in either forfeiture or a restart of that match to be decided by the opponent.

If you’re playing on pad, make sure you turn it off after a match. If your pad interrupts a match, you’ll be DQ’ed on the spot. I’ll try to have a desynching station available, but don’t count on this.

As for Majin’s attendance, I was just going by the facebook page, where he said he wasn’t attending. The post he made in the TN thread makes me think otherwise.

Just a friendly reminder: entry fees for BOTH games are $10.

Also, I’ve been asked about side-tournaments. I have NO problems with side-tournaments going on as long as they don’t interfere with the two main tournaments. I won’t think twice about DQ’ing someone if they hold up the tournament for more than 10 minutes. :stuck_out_tongue:

I ordered an HD PVR to record and stream matches on saturday, hopefully it comes in before then.

Damn, that’d be sweet, but the only internet access I know of is shitty wireless. I dunno if we could get a hard line, but I’ll check on that.
