Wouldn’t “starting on your own and supporting yourself” include you buying the house your living in, paying for the car you have and not just the insurance (assuming you own a car since its with you away from home), paying for your food, house expenses and all that stuff?
No offence but starting on your own doesnt work when you have things given to you. Do you even have a job while your going to school? I never heard you say you did, and I dont think its possible to go to Uni and have a job with enough hours and money to pay for all of your expenses to “start on your own and support yourself”.
If I had parents to support me going to school I would stay at home anyways, get my parents to put the down payment on a house for me then I would rent it out and have my house paid off through the people renting it. Not only do you save money, you invest in something that would put your life on an insane fast track to a good financial situation.
(People that live in your house pay off your house as they live there and you make a little extra through the rent for yourself. Use that little extra to accumulate into a large amount of money over a few years and get the down payment on another house or condo and do the same thing. Not only do you have 2 houses that will eventually be paid off for you in the future, but if you get the houses for cheap in a soon to be booming area such as orangeville, you will double your investment if you want to sell it. Then you use that money to invest in other things that will make you MORE money.
Most people dont get rich from insane jobs. They get rich through smart investment choices at an early age.)
