Anyways… guard breaks? I haven’t gotten to try too much since I have no life now. Working 44+ hours, living with the girlfriend, having two animals, bills, and all that is taking it’s toll. Oi.
a number of things u can do…snapback, launch into a fast fly combo, do a lp rocketpunch when people ain’t expectin to roll (cuz for some reason damage doesn’t scale well when u do this), some lil reset (such as a s.lp, fly, whatever combo)…
mostly a launch to fast fly though, mostly ='s 90% of the time
it aids her running game (if the opponent does manage to catch her w/ magneto because of ground assist help) then she can call cyke out to back them off and setup for either hail or sj.lk lk la xx ls
cyke punishes assists into hail and point characters, cyke lets her combo into her fly mode jab infinite (nice crossup is c.lk + cyke, c.lp xx fly, fly to them, f.lp, up f.lp crossunder f.lk + cyke, f.hp xx LS, nice chunk of damage and looks REAL nice - gotta DHC tho unless you’re in unfly, if you feel lucky enough you can LA to the ground and get yourself out of there quick)
cyke is just a great AAA for her, sets up her damaging combos and resets, aides her runaway game and makes her rushdown semi-invincible. not to mention cyke is great on point and if you have a team of storm/sent/cyke, the only REAL counter to that is team scrub, but that counters everything.
i do a reset that is sorta like the first one u listed.
launch +mag-a, go up like ur gun continue the combo then at the last moment ad/f, when they r coming down they hit mag-a, then u ain’t hit the ground yet, hit them with a lk, land, now u can either walk dash to the other side, just go low, tri jump straight up n down, tri jump cross up, dash to the other side and tri jump straight up n down…too many options if they get hit. it hits more people than u would know to
and when they do block it, unless they push block it, the block will knock them back RIGHT to where you are, and from there u can test there blockin skillz (which btw, mine need to improve)
if you ad.lp lp afterwards when you land you’ll end up on the other side…and you can hit with s.hk or psy or commando or dash to other side or tri jump to the other side…etc
Cyke AAA works great w/ storm, it has a lot of resets and if you can throw, a reverse HK throw into cyclops sets up nice followups and you can reset up for whatever you damn well please
as for Sent vs. Doom
I think Sent is a lot better simply because it gets there faster and Storm doesn’t really need the additional height coverage that Doom provides, her speed/priority can take care of this and what she really needs is an assist that will get there quick from across the screen and let her start going spastic when she rushes
in the corner, s.hp into sent works a lot better than into doom cuz sent always appears next to the corner of the screen at her back and doom is right there next to her, not great for TiA’s IMO
Doom/Storm/Cyclops is a good team to fight trap oriented teams with. Doom’s only job is to build two meters and get out without taking too much damage, so this team is in essence Storm/Cyclops. It helps to have a good Cyclops - which really amounts to just knowing when to hit fierce.
how can i maximize storm’s LS damge? i do the regular AC but when LS hits it doesabslutely no damage at all… so how do i make my opponents health bar drain fast???
