I think if I read a story on the front page about 5 man tournaments or tournaments that flat out get canceled due to lack of interest I wouldn’t even bother getting into the game.
When I play people in fighting games I either win, or sometimes I lose. And therefore I’M DA BES
Woah, woah, woah there. I don’t remember anybody outright flawlessing me in that tournament (although I could be wrong, I was a bit sleep deprived). I remember getting some chip in there. (read this with a laugh in the voice, not an arrogant soap-box.)
Like I did with you Nappy caught me in a match-up I hadn’t played before. However, once I discovered Shang had no reliable wake-up against that pressure I adjusted, brought out another of my guys, and beat him with Ermac. Not knowing a match wasn’t the reason for your eventual loss though, you got happy with your dash elbows and kept running into neutral jumps. Had you kept those in check I think we would’ve had some even match-ups. Regardless there were some solid matches with you and Nappy and I’ll look forward to getting more in at other MN / WI / IL tournaments.
As for Shang mirror’s Digi, I’ll still beat ya, and Shang’s not even my best character at this point. I’m gonna roll ya at Evo with some Stryker BS.
I really believe in the long run anyone who is devoting 100% of their time to a single character in MK is doing themselves a disservice. You know me though, I’ll probably go through 12 mains and then start playing Kung Lao and Reptile cause I’m tired of thinking hard (not a diss to any Lao and Reptile players, personal opinion is their particular tools make it so they don’t have to work as hard against most opponents).
