I’m thinking of running a tournament in Dubuque in either late March or early April. This one’s gonna be a bit different though.
- All events are 2v2.
- No “current” games.
- $5 per person per event, no venue fee.
Would anyone here be interested? Here’s the line-up:
- 3rd Strike 2v2
- HDR 2v2
- Guilty Gear XX AC 2v2
- Vampire Savior (PS2 version) 2v2
- Tekken Tag Tournament Pair Play
- Mystery Tournament Team Battle (all games are either Tekken Tag’s Pair Play style or Smash Brothers Team Battle style)

Alucard was fuckin sick at 3s. He said he didn’t post in the Michigan thread or I’d go say this there but dude had an amazing Dudley rushdown and a great Q. He soundly beat both of us. I dont think I’ve faced a better Dudley since I played this guy at Family Fun Arcade in cali who was a friend of Frankie3s
Later on when Bridgett gets back I’ll upload all the vids we took from her phone in 3s matches.
Pretty sure we have me vs Fisher, me vs Brotherman, Jaron vs Aki, Jaron vs Jerry, and I think we have the whole money match of Jaron vs Alucard

We will also have KOF13 and Tekken Tag HD on hand. If there is enough interest for a tourney for those games they will run but, if not there is always casuals and MM’s.
Yeah, when did that run until? 7:30? 8? I had to get some stuff done and probably could’ve stretched it till the finals but that took ages. Still glad it was there, and with the mountain of dropped combos, I almost feel bad about not entering. I’m sure ultimate threw off a lot of peoples’ timing
I’m also surprised at how huge that place is, too bad we were confined to a little pit, but I guess it’s good for an arcade feel lol. I’m guessing you don’t have access to those huge projector screens just above the area? Felt like a shame not to use those.
And their mexican was almost painfully generic. The steak at least was interesting, not exactly sure whether I liked it or not. But it seemed like the same exact stuff you get everywhere at every little mexican stop in this area. Margaritas were delicious though.
MvC ran for a while, pretty sure it started well before 3s and I think 3s had finals before MvC did. So, 8:00 or something?
Yeah I was kinda wishing we weren’t in the pit. Too many people in too small a space. I try and be courteous and not stand right in the way of where people need to walk to get to laptops, or their match, etc but it was impossible. Jaron said something about it being run down back behind the bar up in the center last time…
