yes there is a gathering tonight
my schedule is changing in january so that mondays and tuesdays are my only later days, and not as late, only till 8pm. rest of the week is done by 5 or so, and less weekends, so more tournaments! gotta start playing again… Gears 3 and Battlefield 3 really distracted me.
never has “that’s gay” been so appropriate.
Except for the actual commercial it’s spoofing.

“That tomato pancake plays way too defensively”
free flexor is a good work out. it will make you mash faster your reaction time will improve beyond what you can imagine.
530 guys
“Free Flexor: For Men!” Girls totally not allowed to use this then.
Dark Phoenix is still crazy good in Ultimate.
haha anyone see the tron infinite on the front page yet haha its ridiculous. so easy you dont even need free flex to do it. im sure there some crazy infinite still in this game that hasnt been found but on to the next one
third strike is a pretty easy game, lol. then again, the internet sucks at everything,
you only have to deal with x-factor level 2 phoenix from mvc3 and with combos that kill the whole cast…again. However, the duration of x-factor has been reduced, I’ve been doing some research, and I believe she will still be a problem, but not an auto win.
e_fresh: tron’s infinite may be easy, but dante has one, on block
dante has one, on block.
on block.
meaning he can kill anyone in the cast with 2 meters and another partner alive, full screen, damage by chip. this game is beyond broken, yet still fun, lol
yea i understand on block
on block
on block lols. i seen that infinite. to bad i dont play this game seriously.
Quicksilver’s banned. Considering you main a series where 80% of the game itself is banned and there are easier infinites, I figured this wouldn’t get brought up.
Also, 3rd Strike is easy…when it comes to execution. The challenge is actually hitting someone with whatever you want when the game has an answer to everything you do. I’ve p’d people with Twelve by hitting them like 30 times. Since there’s literally no execution barrier to that, it must be easy, right?
I respect your abilities. That said, you got some serious kinks in your logic, kid.
ggs to hellsent, 100+ matches in 3s is always a good way to spend your evening.
Yeah ggs jswey I woke up and you weren’t here. I had wanted to play more today. I thought that was the point of staying the night haha. Oh well.
As far as this “3s is an easy game shit” I agree with Hogosha. Especially since he’s a Twelve player and I also play lower tier (Ibuki). Every char has a counter and nothing is guaranteed with parrying. I’ve made huge comebacks and had huge comebacks made against me, solely because of good play and parrying. Some of the matchups in the game are pretty damn unbalanced in favor of one character, and winning as the underdog takes tremendous focus, thought, execution, mixup, and ‘psychic’ parries. Twelve vs almost everyone is a good example of this as are matchups like Akuma vs Hugo, Yun vs Hugo, Ibuki vs Alex. They are like climbing a mountain, the odds can seem way out of favor. Sanchez I invited you out here and you gave me your whole fucking smash tourney schedule and said you haven’t played much 3s but you’d “learn it” then come over (when?) and “beat me at it”. No offense bro but until you’re over here playing 100+ matches against decent players winning a lot you probably shouldn’t make any kind of statement about it being easy or not.
The offer still stands if you wanna come play, I’m available anytime after 12pm any day of the week and I live right over on the east side
hell yeah I want to play 3rd strike, but school comes first, hellsent: we’ll play in december, I promise, and shit ton in the january. I promise
I want to play against people that know what they’re doing to. even if it’s to get my ass kicked, I want to improve my play.
Oh, I should of been more specific. I meant easy as in execution, combo’s are pretty easy , it’s the whole mindset that make’s it difficult.
I only want to play ken in that game, he seems to have the most 50-50’s in the game. I would tier whore chun lee, but I would have to hang myself everytime she does that move where she screeches, SHUTUP!
yea i forgot i had an appt this morning, and would have came back, however this snow and wind and shit aint no joke!
That was really fun. Hopefully we get to do that again real soon.
It’s not even easy in execution–it still gives people difficulties even in that realm. There are some moves that take people a while to get good at. c.mk Super is one of them with Ken. Back in the day, I remember the guys talking about how bmk super with ken was the shit. Saying a game is easy is only comparing to your level of play, but then again, there is no universal standard to compare how “easy” third strike is. It’s a game.
There kinda is…but again, it’s with execution. The most difficult things in 3S that I can think of are impractical and/or disgustingly situational combos (like, KSK vid stuff), Yun’s repeated kara-palms in Genei-Jin, and Akuma’s unblockable reset into KKZ off of LK Tatsu. Even things like Dudley’s d+HK loop or Necro’s db+HP loop are easy enough for anyone well-versed in competitive fighters to have them down reliably within minutes. Compare that to nearly anything in MVC2 (difficult combos/infinites), GG (pretty difficult and usually long combos) JoJo’s, Garou, and a whole host of other games and, well, there you have it.
All that said, it’s one of the reasons I like 3S. I’d rather play a game than a training mode.
