besides, humans evolved to be perpetually unhappy with their circumstances. you make a million dollars, now you want a billion. you fuck one hot woman, now you want more. assuming virtual reality sex becomes a reality, it will become boring really quick because there is no challenge to it. humans evolved to value things that they worked hard for. anything that comes easy becomes a bore. so sure, in virtual reality land, you may be banging two playboy bunnies at once, but ultimately that would get old. you might get a dopamine high the first few times, but after that you’d have to escalate your virtual reality fantasy in order to get the same amount of dopamine. And that doesn’t solve the issue of knowing that in the back of your head its all fake. especially if in the real world, you were socially inept and were bad with women. the virtual success would be a mockery, kind of like all those losers in MMOs who waste their lives getting a virtual piece of gear, yet live in their parents basement.
so where i see this going is that the weirdos who currently fuck realdolls will have a viable upgrade. but the vast majority of normal people (ie anyone not from japan) will be kind of weirded out by the whole thing and stick with porn, prostitutes, or i don’t know, try to find a meaningful relationship with a woman. where hopefully they won’t beat the shit out of them.

Giving this some thought, I’d seriously consider buying a robo-wife who cooks my meals and cleans my house and feeds me soup when I’m sick, while I roam the streets for human tail. And I doubt I’d feel like much of a loser at all.
