I played a game against my friend. Stuff didn’t really chain together too easily, and I didn’t really know what was going on, but Yuri’s sword specials are pretty fun.
Overall, it looks like once you figure out how to play it, it could be pretty fun casually. I don’t think anyone was banking on it being tourney level, but I enjoyed it. Yuri is awesome.

Didn’t chain together easily? I like that. That Vermillion bullshit supposedly puts you in a mode where you can chain stuff together freely. More importantly for me though; did it look ugly? Good shit on the BlazBlue quals too.

fallot - Thanks! As for MKV, I thought it looked really nice, but that’s just me. It wasn’t jagged or anything. Like just watching it, visually, it’s pretty cool, lotsa stuff going on . I was getting hype just watching two scrubs playing each other, lol.
There was a thread nekich found on 2ch that said a lot of stuff wasn’t working right, like 2A -> tick throw and reversals and the possibility of a Yuri infinite. Not sure if any of this is true. We’ll find out soon I suppose, at least the game looks nice.

Hmm interesting and that photo of people doing the play test with ps3 pads hopefully means that it will suport the D-pad (I know most of the doujin games I’ve played tend to force me to use analogues for some reason and doesn’t recognise the d-pad)
